This is a great documentary. The whole band is included; not 98% Brian like so many others. Love it!

My first 45 was given to me by my brother. It was I Get A 1:45:02 Round. I played it a million times. Ive been to about 30 concerts in my day all over the country. I passed the love of the group on to my daughter who died 6mths ago. Ill never forget singing their songs with her❤

If I could go back to the future like Michael Fox in “ Back to The Future “ I would have ditched my parents when we went to California and moved to the beach and hunted Brian down. He’s so charming and nobody sings like him. He’s my dream man.

I can't believe how little i knew about these guys and their music growing up in the 70s. Other than the early 60s stuff, i really hadnt heard their newer music. Now I cant stop stop listening. Thank you Brian to your genius!

I used to feel the same way until I remembered that all I had for news was Entertainment Weekly and whatever magazines or newspapers had stories of their lives. Not like now--I thank God for the internet and the ability to catch up on all the things I missed in the 70s when I was raising my family. I'm in my 70s now and I don't know everything about them but I'm catching up quick! The BeeGees are another group worth the time--they are so much more than just Stayin' Alive.....

In the 1960's, The Beach Boys created the soundtrack of our lives. In the shadow of Vietnam, where our older brothers and friends were having their names being recorded for a black wall in Washington, we were teenagers trying to find solace in the Endless Summer that Brian Wilson knit together in our collective hearts. The Beach Boys have followed me, even until today. A military art assignment took me to the Bohemian Mountains near the Czech Republic in southern Germany. I stayed in a Gasthaus that once overlooked a WW2 battlefield. Wishing to let the Bavarian spirit sweep me back into that time from long ago, I wandered down into a valley flanked by shadowy mountains. Alone I sat under the midnight stars...., alone save a hefeweizen and a melancholy heart. In the direction of a nearby village I could hear an outdoor gathering of friends playing traditional Bavarian folk tunes, which added to the moment. Then, without any warning, the bass notes of "California Girls" wafted across the moonlit pasture. God only knows what we would be without them.....

An element of the Wilson brothers’ genius that has not been mentioned is how quickly they went from not playing any instruments to being proficient.

Two things: 1. I always heard the question, “Beatles or Stones?”. Me: Beach Boys 2. New Joke I Just Made Up: Q. Who wrote The Beach Boys classic hits “Be True To Your Hippocampus” and “The Warmth Of Her Cerebellum”? A. Brain Wilson

Brian & the Beach Boys wrote songs I could relate to. Brian & I have similar mental challenges. Brian's songs saved my life on several occasions when I needed to have something to hold on to. Thanks a million, Bri!. Deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife; I have a feeling she's waiting for you. Via con Dios, amigo. Mick

Where are all these people claiming the beach boys are better than the beatles coming from?! I adore both bands and have heard every single song either group did. Its retarded to suggest the beach boys were better. You may like them more but they aren't better.
