Hari Krsna, great videos but only one suggestion I cannot watch these when I'm up in my birds up because he gets too rowdy you have to make those videos without your birds making noises so that I can watch in the daytime with the bird up otherwise I can't watch them

I was trying to do some diy sisal toys for our baby. Turns out most sisal ropes are treated. Where can we find untreated sisal? 😢

The chop I prepared recently seems to smell bad after a few hours if she hasn't eaten it all. Should I keep them too or replace it? Another question, I currently don't have a dry mix, gonna make that once I collect the ingredients, what do I give my bird in the evening until then? Plus thanks for the informative video!

They're very mischievous and will bite and shred anything they can get their little beaks on. My older cockatiel will know when he's done something wrong and gets upset when we call him out on it. Using a soft and gentle voice will probably be your best bet to gaining and maintaining their trust. They can pick up on your energy, so if you can remain calm and peaceful, it will help them wind down and ease their stress.

I am so sorry for the loss of little Chip. Hugs to you and to Fish for the loss of his best friend. Pets bring such love and joy to our hearts but they take a piece of us when they pass. You gave him the best life a cockatiel could have and he took his last breath with you experiencing your love and protection. You have more than fulfilled your duty as his guardian and spent his last moments caring for and holding him. They are such fragile little birds and things are so often out of our control with no explanation or reason why. Wishing you some comfort and peace in the days to come. ❤️

I had no idea that cockatiels are more dusty. I have 2 green cheek conures, a quaker and an IRN. I have had a budgie and a sun conure. All of these birds are low dust and I am glad they are because I have lung problems, including lung nodules and breathing problems. I am currently dealing with a bunch of health issues including cancer. I also use a CPAP machine and it is not good if dust gets in there... I have an air purifier in the bird room as well as my bedroom where my birds often come to hang out with me. I am glad I saw this because my partner wants to add a couple of cockatiels to the flock but I guess that won't be happening now!

Chip (& the whole flock) hit the lottery when he wound up with you and David. What an amazing wonderful wonderful life you gave him and in return what an amazing wonderful wonderful little birdie he was. I wish you peace Xoxoxo

Sophie and David, I am so very, very sorry. I just lost a bird myself in a similar way a few weeks ago and I couldn't help but grieve along side of you. You gave every ounce you had for your boy and it was obvious that he knew you were doing everything you could. You gave him 6 wonderful years full of love, and along the way helped all of us to be better bird owners. You are so utterly generous, you have a big heart and I hope you can find solace in knowing there was no more you could have done. If only love could save them. This is the worst part of being a pet owner, but I like to think that its a small sacrifice for the years of joy they bring to us. Please take care of yourself, you cant pour from an empty cup. You have helped so many of us with our birds, so it's only fair that we help you in return ❤ Sending you both so much love

I've been away for a long time due to depression. This is very painful to watch. I had no idea this was going on. It is so terrible how fast these fragile animals can get sick and pass. I am so so sorry Sophie. I remember when this channel was first getting off the ground. The amazing videos that came, all the fun times with fish and chip. Everything they and us learned along the way. I hope you find some happiness in your memories over time to lessen the pain of loss. Chip will never truly be gone for any of us, we have all the memories, videos, and others to remember him by. I hope everything else is going well, I love seeing that your channel has so many subscribers now! You are an amazing person, and an even greater caretaker of your animal companions. I have a good year of videos to watch on your channel now. You are an inspiration to all of us parrot owners. Take care Sophie! The only thing I can try to suggest for night frights is getting a water fountain. For some reason my birds never have night frights anymore after I got one. It is just one of those simple cat watering fountains. My budgies also enjoy bathing in it. I also keep the room pitch black when they sleep. That might be helping as well, or a combo of the two perhaps. I dunno. Just hang in there Sophie.
