Baby Snooks: nobody even seems to recognize this is Snooks. Shows how dumb people are today. My family worked at M-G-M since the silents and are all buried in the original Motion Picture Arts cemetery. In 1969 we were honored guests at the famous M-G-M auction. I was 3.

Lea Michelle is playing her on Broadway. I bet Lea Michele doesn't even know who Fanny Brice really is?

It’s nice to hear Judy Garland say a “girls a girl and a boys a boy”. Now days there is too much confusion. It’s nice that they recognized in this time that girls can only be girls and boys can only be boys. That’s how God made us. No trying to change yourself to be something you weren’t created to be is going to change that!

That's talent. One continuous take, not a note out of tune or timing.

Let me guess. That’s supposed to be a head shake at the alleged gender dysphoria constantly mentioned in the news. Apparently, non-binary and trans people are some new fad, tsk tsk. Reality: trans communities are tiny, and have virtually no voice in the media to oppose those shouting about them all the time. And it’s no fad. All through human history genetic and hormonal variations have existed. Get used to a world that’s not black and white. Enjoy 🌈

I had forgotten about Fanny Brice until quite recently and never watched or listened to any of her material. I remember as a kid back in the late 1960s reading about her in the World Book encyclopedia, and asked my mother if she had heard of Fanny Brice and essentially said she was a real riot. Indeed!! As others have mentioned, there are two great legends shown here!

The fact that Fanny Brice could be a beautiful model one time and, at other times, transform to a Baby Snooks, proves that she was a great actress.

I generally don't find old people playing babies funny. Lily Tomlin was one exception. Frankly I don't find Fanny Brice doing this bit funny at all.

I agree! I find it cringeworthy and bizarre.

Watch out. Older people are gonna attack you for your comment because they can’t accept the fact that not everyone is gonna find grown women playing a baby funny or normal.
@miamiracer2 жыл бұрын
@@smitherin71 Sure, there are always people with different points of view. But I think that we have become too politically correct in our age. Saying that I don't like old (fully grown) women playing babies is not speaking against old women in any way. I am considered old myself although I don't feel it.

Wow, they were great. Of course, Fanny is funny. But I'm kind of allergic to people playing kids. It's been done so many times by so many comics, it's kind of easy. But what I'm surprised about is Judy's acting : she's so real. Her performance hasn't aged a bit.

The Retro Decade Revival Project is the answer to your wishes. Our goal is to bring real entertainment, true talents, pure originality and variety, old school, and more back into the public mainstream, starting with the 1990s. We'll be hearing more of this kind of music on radio along with other much better programs than the junk today.
