You know, Eric Clapton can do and say some things that piss people off, regarding politics, COVID, etc. but you have to realize that Eric has suffered so much pain in his life from his birth even. Abandoned and rejected by his biological mother MANY times, loving another man’s wife for decades, horrible death of his son, drug addiction, death of close friends Hendrix and Allman among others. So I give Clapton a lot of slack.

Both solos are killer. Mayer seemed to have gotten stuck in that Albert King lick loop a few times but Clapton, with his bends kills it better, especially the 2nd bend in the solo, and then later throws Dorian in the mix. Overall, both solos serve as a great lick library!

Mayer is the Justin Beiber of the blues. That's not a compliment.

the only great crossroads was the cream version this slowed down version is always boring cream did it like this at the reunion in 2005 and it was extremely boring clapton last gasp was the cream reunion after that he just went totally downhill he was my favorite blues rock guitarist and now i would never pay to see him john on the other hand is great love his pop stuff and really like his playing with the dead
