I have the sh4 gen 2, 4-16X50. The thing is pretty big and heavy. Just started shooting with it.. if i was a hunter, probably go with a light weight model
@RugerGundog4 сағат бұрын
Yeah they're big. But glass is amazing for the price.
@KevinMc7-s8o15 сағат бұрын
This was kind of a bonehead video, to be honest with ya... I mean, what the hell were you really expecting 😅 Create multiple profiles up 4 different rifles on different calibers Zero it on each rifle and save.Accordingly a b c d ... Then go ahead and move the scope. Around and simply set it back to that designated setting and check zero then... You will find it is equally Repeatable
@RugerGundog11 сағат бұрын
I think you missed the point. I get how to use different profiles. That literally has nothing to do with what I was demonstrating. When you pop an optic off a rail and then return it to a rifle there is concern it will not mount, mate up exactly and the zero will be off. And in fact it is in this case as well. But for intended use the small degree of shift isn't too bad.
@KevinMc7-s8o10 сағат бұрын
@RugerGundog 😆 Look i'm a machinist I didn't miss your point The fact is your point was so pointless I was scratching my head, wondering why the video was even made Do you zero your optical scopes... Then remove them from your pic rail and put them back on again, and wonder if it's going to return 🤔. Lol. I'm sorry.I guess this is complex
@KevinMc7-s8o10 сағат бұрын
@@RugerGundog like I mentioned in order to even make this an interesting experiment. You would probably want to test it against four or five different profiles stored on the scope Bouncing it around on various rifles accordingly But what you did was just Pointless and elementary I guess I just expect too much today.I expect people to have common sense.

Try lightly greasing the clamping surfaces of the picatinny rail ( wet mounting ) It make a considerable difference for maintaining zero when remounting scopes.

About time! I’ve been pitching the idea of cutting scopes in half to guntubers for years. Compare the innards to see what actually makes for a better scope (mainly the erector tube spring system, secondary would be materials used). Encase it in resin before sending through a bandsaw!

Being a lefty, do you primarily shoot right handed guns or left handed guns? Thanks in advance
@RugerGundog6 күн бұрын
I shoot primarily right hand guns due to availability. I've got a few lefties. For precision bolt guns shooting left handed gun i do better on repeat shots as I stay planted. But for hunting and such I could care less.
@flatcreek69886 күн бұрын
@RugerGundog i shoot left handed also due to be blind in my right eye. But thinking of building up a ruger american, and can not decide on buying a left handed action or right handed. Im primarily a shot gun guy so that's why I can't decide. Thanks for your input!
