How does this keyboard compare to the wooting 60he? My 60he doesn't arrive till next month, just wondering if it's worth the wait. Im really tempted to buy this keyboard over the 60he if the software and switch feel (bouncy) quality is on the same level of better. I dont mind the sound being clacky either.

i used corsair xtm70 paste on my g14 because my cpu kept overheating when playing video games, now i don't have any issues. i think the issue with asus is either they don't put enough liquid metal or theres a gap once spillover occurs which degrades performance.

I just got home with a Best Buy open box laptop and inspected the box closely. It has older stickers on it that say condition "Fair" with a generic comment for marks, scratches, minor dents, etc... This was advertised and sold to be as condition "Excellent". My sticker says condition "Excellent" and they slapped it on top of the condition "Fair" sticker. I haven't opened it and I probably won't even before returning it.

Have you tried the Tracer VIII Gaming A15G 200 Windows Laptop by any chance? I've ordered one already but I'm struggling to find others who have otherwise used one. Mine has a RTX 4060 one of the SSDs is 4TB WD Black SN850X M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD - 7300MB/s Read & 6600MB/s Write. The Memory is 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5/4800MHz Kingston Impact SODIMM. Finally the CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS Mobile Processor - 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 3.8GHz Base, 5.1GHz Max Boost, AMD Radeon™ 780M Graphics. I'll definitely review this myself as there's been no reviews on the cyberpower website.

That switch is actually pretty old. Also as you said it is just a recolored standard Gateron Jade. It sounds and behaves identical. Nothing wrong with that but in the beginning you mention you wanted something new and not just Jades and then pull out a recolored Jade. :) If you have not tried them yet, you can try the (also old) Geon RAW HE. They are also similat though, just smoother, less wobble and a little less clacky for those who prefer that.

@@bronztech I personally hate Glorious but I do love their dual PCB set up on the HE boards that allows for Mechanical and HE. However, Micro Center Inlands Brand has a HE board that's 75% for $115 with the same type of Dual PCB. I have it, it uses QMK but the case is plastic but everything else is solid. I've swapped out many HE Switches and Mechanical Switches on it and it's good to go. I don't have to deal with that Glorious software lol

It's wayyy quieter in-person (just got mine today!) and there are a lot of mods available to quiet it further if you wish It's actually a really soft 'clocky' sort of sound rather than the clicky-clacky sound you hear in this vid, probably because microphones pic up higher frequencies better and (if youre on phone) it's harder to hear low frequencies on mobile

What's the temperature in your Zephyrus G14 like? Do you use GHelper? Leave a comment below!
@thornstrikesback
@thornstrikesback 3 ай бұрын
Don't have a Zephyrus, but a ROG STRIX (i7 13650HX & RTX 4060). Temps are between 80 - 85 degrees when using a laptop cooler and up to 90 degrees when not using one (Yes, good quality laptop coolers do actually work). GHelper is a godsend. Armoury Crate was actually causing throttle issues, even when in Turbo mode so I got rid of it as soon as I discovered GHelper.

Might be got lucky, but have the exact same G14 specs in the video from Japan, but with AniMe Matrix and Eclipse Gray My temp been in the ratio 85/69 and 90/75 (CPU/GPU) and have not seen reaching the thermal limit (95/86), based on games I play such as God of War, Control, Minecraft and L4D2

Question: What do you use to remove thermal paste, do you soak the Q tips in anything? Also what do you use to apply the Liquid Metal?
@thornstrikesback
@thornstrikesback 27 күн бұрын
@@pancakeswithsyrup5032 Isopropyl alcohol to remove the old paste. And yes, just soak the Q tip in the liquid and remove the paste in a circular motion (outside to inside to avoid getting any paste spilling off the chip) If you don't have a thermal paste applicator, just use the back of a plastic spoon. You don't need to use a liquid metal thermal paste unless you are doing extreme overclocking. It does work better but it can corrode the copper on coolers and heatsinks.

nope, just tuned + lubed stabs. I would have done keybored's Q1 mod, but was already happy with the sound profile, if anything I'd want it quieter which I'm sure a full pom / nylon HE switch would be great when released in the future. Gateron's switches err on the louder side
