If GB played their test side vs club they’d win easily. Even now. Aus champs beat at home and then in Wigan. Australia test side wins easily though

For me the greatest halfbacks ever to play are 1. Alfie 2. Sterlo 3. Joey. 4. Ricky Stuart 5. Jonathan Thurston. How sterlo wasn’t the 8th immortal is beyond me.

What awesome memories. I saw the Eels play so many times in the 80’s and loved every minute of watching one of the best teams to play the game. Peter Stirling was one of the best - what a player and a man of the people.
I always preferred Daley at centre, rather than 5/8. I liked it better when he just ran for himself and didn't have to be the pivot for the backs. He could create something out of nothing and did it most games.

He’s the greatest blues player ever and my favourite line ups for Australia were late 90s when it was lockyer at 1. Daley 4, Freddy 6, Alfie 7, Joey 9. Jason smith 13 couldn’t fit a more lethal set of legends in a side if you tried.

And not a immortal. Just BS. Now there talking about Thurston yet he won 2 premierships with one of the bench. Lewis won ZERO. There talking about Munster 🤣. Sterling 4 premierships, first player to score 10 out of 10 in rugby league week in a game. Just a amazing player yet no Immortal status. Throw Kenny, Cronin and Price in that too. How is it possible that a team like that has Zero immortals?

Lol I guessed the right year. All I knew was that it was eels vs warriors at Parra stadium and the eels won. That was my first Parra game and when I became an eels fan. I was 11 years old xd

The greatest injustice in Rugby League history that they didn’t win the premiership that year. I blame Smith, the coach. He did not prepare them for the Grand Final. He was a perennial Grand Final looser.

Ah. Sterling Kenny Cronin Ella Grothe. It doesn't get better than that. They go on about these blokes today. As I've heard before they wouldn't lace the boots of the blokes of the days gone. Was just a better game back then.
