They are the greatest ice dancers ever. I am American and much as I love Davis and White and Virtue and Moir Torvill and Dean are the greatest ice dancer ever.

Flawless, their movements are not only soothing to the eyes but to the mind, heart & soul. A very great performance indeed.

I was 8 years old and it still seems like it was only yesterday. The most iconic, breathtaking and beautiful piece of dance ever seen.

When Ice Skating truly became Ice Dancing. I can't think of anyone who revolutionised any sport like Torvill & Dean did.

He swung her around like a cape, and it was instantly an iconic performance!

They danced as one!

What always amazes me is how they remembered the routine. I still watch it regularly after all these years. Chris and Jayne's movements matched the music spot on, a display of perfect synchronicity. I love that bit at the end when they both collapse down on the ice and Jayne looks up and smiles. A beautiful display of flawless perfection by the greatest ice dancers the world has ever seen. ⛸️ 💎🌟

I saw this live 40 years ago, am 77 now and still mesmerized by their performance. Absolutely amazing!!

I have stood on that ice rink in Sarajevo,during the Bosnian War I was based with the UN and part of the ice rink was used as our bomb shelter,and yes it was used for that purpose when sadly we lost some of our French comrades,but there are a few things in life you will never forget and that was one of them.

And they won Gold medal! Spiral of death the most famous and most valuable figure in this dance on ice! Can remember how I was thrilled waiting in front of TV to look at all competitions in Sarajevo 1984. ! That was the biggest sport event that year in whole Yugoslavia!

Been following T&D forever....the 1984 Olympics were highlight of fascination with this pair. While gold medal "Bolero" performance mesmerizing, it is the "Paso Doble" that remains in my memory every time I hear Capricio Español on radio. That performance, in their black & white costumes, was dramatic & glorious! Another perfect program.

Twas memorable to meet them ..at the MILTON KEYNES..ICE RINK..IN 1993..all my kids..had lots of fun that day..SWEET MEMORIES!!

40 years later, I still cannot watch this without getting tears in my eyes! It was magical ... absolutely magical ... best ice dance routine ever.

The greatest single routine in all of figure skating

I was 17 when I saw the live performance of this on TV. It was breathtaking. Watchibg it now I still get tingles and the appluse when the score of the sixes came up was so thrilling. Absolutely flawless and effortless looking performance. Watching it now I appreciate the technical difficulty of the dance even more.
