I got S130 2years ago, about 30hours on it. My fuel gauge just failed on me, I heard because battery inside is low or bad. Anyway owner has to buy a new gauge and it cost $75, since the battery cannot change DIY.

I don’t get sloping the slab side ways for drainage. It’s inside. It shouldn’t get wet. If you’re going to wash inside then maybe slope towards the door would make sense.

You got white smoke so there's not good flow get the good flow and you will stop the leaks without sealant.
@mikecope57273 ай бұрын
Seasoning the inside of the fire box is a waste of time but the V in the fire box might be something to check out.
@mikecope57273 ай бұрын
The proper smoke should be almost invisible or just a little blue. If it's white that is the wrong type of smoke. If you see light that does need sealent.
@mikecope57273 ай бұрын
If you have proper flow thru the smoker there is no need to seal the smoker. Leaking smoke is a sign of inproper flow.

Thanks for sharing this! I’m planning to do something similar for my detached garage. I’m considering stubbing the conduit up through the slab and into the wall. Is there any reason you didn’t do it this way? Is it just because it would be cumbersome to coordinate the conduit run with the concrete crews and building erectors?
@intheshoptv4 ай бұрын
Partially that, but with the metal tube sill plate (bottom frame rail), you dont want to remove a section to make way for the conduit. Nor did I want to stub up in front of the frame rail and sacrifice floor space in a small shop. If it was a stick frame building with 2x6 sill plates, it wouldn’t be an issue.

Love how your shop turned out! Did you ever get the garage door opener for it? If you did what kind did you go with and did you have to change the doors or were the original doors good enough? Absolutely love the 55 Chevy! I first took notice to a 57 gmc 9300 I believe that's the Canadian version on a Show we watch. Been looking for one since lol!

This comment is late, however I did buy the S130 two years ago. Put on a mulching system rather than discharge, changed the oil system to a regular oil filter and oil drain, installed a fuel shut-off between filter and pump, upgraded to bearings in front wheels and, installed the poor-man power steering needle bearings. This machine does a great job and the upgrades were all things John Deere should have done in the first place. Nice video.

I did not understand why garage door opener outlet did not require GFI protection and the light outlets did. The light outlets are even higher and out of reach or not readily accessible.
@intheshoptv8 ай бұрын
(Im replying from my new channel) Technically ALL receptacles in a garage are supposed to be GFCI protected as per the 2020 version of the NEC. However, It’s important to check your local code. The reason I say that is that adoption of the code is done in a variety of ways: Statewide By city By municipality Not at all. And the adoption of a specific code or code update is always tied to a date. And your local AHJ will know the date. Go by your local code. According to the new NEC code, Id have to GFCI protect my welding machine outlet, or hardwire it (which Im not doing). Many local municipalities dont adopt everything.

Just restored my 2002 Bear tracker, i wish someone would make a modern version of this small nimble machine. Great 4 wheeler to ride. Front shocks instead of struts. Solid rear axles fine but like Suzuki does dual shocks rear axle would be great instead of just a single shock. I took a blow torch to my plastics to restore them then I greased them up with a product called SC1 to bring the shine back and they look fantastic. Just need to get my decal stickers off of eBay. I also painted my frame and racks with farm enamel paint which is like the second best thing to actually powder coating them

@@HiddenCreekHomestead Thank you for responding. I am planning to use Versatube to build my barn which will be 36X40X16. I have seen enough of KZbin videos of people having contractors who don't even speak English build their metal buildings. I think I am going to do it myself. That way I can do a lot better job with Quality Control. We just had our house put new sidings on replacing the old wood siding with concrete mix siding. The contractor came in with a crew of 3 who didn't speak English. Luckily, I learned how to speak Spanish. The quality of work was horrid. It seems that the companies hires just anybody from the street to do the work. I wonder if the majority crossed the southern border illegally.
@montiraruba28318 ай бұрын
When you have contractors do the work, they will make mistakes and some won’t tell you. They work fast and long hours so imperfections will be there. I plan to do the work myself because measure twice, cut once is a very important rule.
