I think it's so important to mention the two extremes most people experienced in the past year: over-exercising or complete loss of motivation (in your case, both) and congratulations on being able to find what works best for you - this is something that takes some people years!! PS: it sounds like you have a pretty cool friend 😏😏

As a very competitive person, I can say that I used to be motivated by being better at sports than my friends (I probably still am lol). Now, I exercise and play sports to stay active and healthy. I can't picture life without tennis/soccer/running, and if 2-3 days pass without doing something related to sports or exercising, I feel terrible!
