The ship literally has the robots on board in the final game. So the ship drops off the seed and starts building a planet around it. After it makes a ball it drops off the robots who shave the details. Thats my head cannon and im sticking with it

But is it the optimal way to play Jak 3 with the refractor upgrade? Because now the blaster bolts bounce off surfaces.

I only used the spin kick move when theres just too much going on... Now in jak 3 the 2nd blaster upgrade. The ricochet mod. Makes it ROOM CLEARING in potential... And makes it the 2nd best way to just brute force a combat scenario.... Obviously the purple nuke is the best because... Reasons

Man, like once a year I get caught with the Jak and Dax nostalgia bug and I always go straight to your content to see if you’re still doing stuff - never disappointed 🤌🏼 Just all that to say keep up what you love and never be discouraged because your passion for something as trivial as a video game made 20 years ago is honestly such a joy to see. The Jak 1-3 saga was the highlight of my childhood whenever I gamed, I remember getting the first one right after the big clonky og PS2 came out and getting lost in the world. Truly a tragedy the story was never really expanded on much after the series. Id even read a book about that shit.

ok so i remember jak having all of his mar armor on when he got on the ship with the precursors but when he got back he didn't have the armor on. thats what cemented the idea that jak was actually 'THE Mar' to me

Hey man! I really appreciate this video! I picked up the HD Jak trilogy for old times sake (Nostalgia has been hitting real nasty this year and I loved this series to death) and it's great to learn this now. I used to do the jump-spin-shoot technique when I played this as a kid and I sucked ass at Jak 2. Never beat it all the way through because of it! Explaining what each gun is best for and when/how to use it has really improved my gameplay. Thanks!

Great video. I swear the reason people spam the jump-kick-shoot on the blaster is because they already played Jak 3 and picked up the habit with the beam reflexor. Most surviving footage online of Jak 2 is from platforms that were created after the Jak PS2 games were all out and they're retrospective reviews or not the person's first playthrough.

i actually didn't use the jump and spin method when played jak II, i didn't even know it was a thing! I still struggled alot through this game though, was really challenging game but i also didn't know alot of this tech you talk about in this video so i'll definitely have to try it out when i play the trilogy again

I think the ending of Jak’s story should be him going back one final time as a man to just after his younger self was sent to the future, to become the hero the world would need to survive the metalhead wars and save the world.

I love the idea of encountering an ancient and genuinely wise and powerful Precursor leading the Precursors of the ancient past… only to realise later in the game it’s an ancient Daxter who went back in time, got wise, and became the protector of the timeline to ensure things happened as was needful, so that one day the future would be free

I never had trouble with any of the combat missions. it was always the racing missions. I played these games as a kid, I beat the first one, and Jak3, but I Jak2 sat uncompleted for years because I got stuck on the mission where Krew gives you 3 minutes to fly to the stadium, and younger me couldnt do it.

Game literally states Jak is thee Mar. People years later: “but is he mar? How will we ever know” The game literally says yes he is how the fuck
@PowercellZeke
@PowercellZeke 17 күн бұрын
@@lastresort1757 you're correct, the game just *states* it, without explaining the *how*. Given the lack of information, fans try to either fill in that gap, or explain how Jak being Mar would contradict previously established lore. I just think it's bad writing
@lastresort1757
@lastresort1757 17 күн бұрын
@ no, people are arguing wether jak is mar at all even though it states it. Independent of “how would that work” in the game
@PowercellZeke
@PowercellZeke 17 күн бұрын
@lastresort1757 yeah, because Ashelin makes this statement with zero evidence. Like seriously, why would she make that assumption? The only concrete confirmed thing we know is that Jak's birth name is Mar, which doesn't automatically mean he is literally the historic figure. The game "stating it" isn't sufficient evidence
@lastresort1757

Jak 2 has a very complicated story, in a good way. There are lots of ambiguities, and unexpected twists and turns.
Ай бұрын
The theme in Jak 2 changes not the main theme, but the arrangement of the theme. It's impressive that it's so smooth, when it can change so randomly. It's all about what the player does.

I havent watched this video and based on the comments I can already tell this video is great. As I got older, I eventually pieced together that the best wayto play is to maximize every action posible use every gun (at the right times). Using the right guns against the right enemies or madtering the jetboard are a couple examples that makes the game more thorough and fullfilling. Once you master how to play the character you feel like a god because nothing can stop you.

I just replayed the trilogy. Although Jak 2 may be a little more difficult, it’s my favorite. Missions are not that difficult except for the pier mission where you fight all the crimson guards. I found a little cheat for that tho. It’s just a challenging game that makes it more worth it when you beat the game

Honestly I still don't think that makes the game easy. To me the normal combat wasn't the hard part, it was the minigames throughout. Like the mech to destroy the tower, the turret section, the running from the giant metal head in the undercroff, etc. I really thought those sections were the brutally hard parts.

That krimzon guard raid was absolute hell. I basically had no viable strategy except to jump and shoot with the blaster (not jump-spin-shoot, just jumping to dodge unseen enemies' shots while desperately shooting at a crowd of guards) That mission was absolutely maddening. Last I played I got to the mission to shoot down some hellcats and couldn't beat it for the life of me. Driving in the game is.... Terrible, to put it nicely, and worse when you're wanted.
