We sang this arrangement in a college choir back in the 80s. I love the dissonance, the ethereal timbres, and the way the piece is never the same twice as each performer moves independent of a meter or steady beat. If I hear this on my deathbed, it will indeed be uplifting, soothing, comforting to know the One who awaits me on the other side--the same One who was waiting for Bach when he himself passed away. Thank you for such a powerful, inspiring performance!
