So happy to have seen Snakefinger on the 13thAnniversary Tour, sat in the balcony of the Adelaide Tivoli with my schizophrenic friend, just the two of us while everyone else was downstairs, as he was going through an episode but wasn't going to miss The Residents and Snakefinger.

Sadly after Phillip passed away in 1987, the bass player Guy Carson went on to form the SF based band "The Potato Eaters" they lasted from 1989 to about 1998. I was lucky enough to be their sound engineer, and get to know that great bunch of people!

He played the club I worked at in Hoboken NJ (Maxwell's) not long before he passed away. He was hanging out in the kitchen with me after his set while I was counting out the night's receipts. He was extremely nice & humble. I was fan of his since I was thirteen so it was a pretty cool moment for me.

Kraftwerk started out playing conventional instruments. On their first album "Kraftwerk" they played electronic organs, guitar, flute, violin, percussion and drums.

@@vtpnp I know my Kraftwerk and i speak German. I am in fact from Germany and i don't understand what he's singing. It is not the Lyrics of the German Version.
@luxie80974 ай бұрын
from my small german knowledge, i'm pretty sure he's just saying random german sounding gibberish, with the odd actual random german word in between. i could make out kartoffel (potato), fleischen (flesh) and ausfahrt (exit). doesn't make any sense lol.

Brilliant reimagining of a Kraftwerk staple by the inimitable Snakefinger. I love the eerie synths played by Eric Drew Feldman, and how Snakey combines blues slide and Hawaiian steel guitar styles.
