Sadly after Phillip passed away in 1987, the bass player Guy Carson went on to form the SF based band "The Potato Eaters" they lasted from 1989 to about 1998. I was lucky enough to be their sound engineer, and get to know that great bunch of people!

I saw the Potato Eaters once at the Great American Music Hall. I think Guy went on to manage the Cafe Du Nord?

Brilliant reimagining of a Kraftwerk staple by the inimitable Snakefinger. I love the eerie synths played by Eric Drew Feldman, and how Snakey combines blues slide and Hawaiian steel guitar styles.

Pretty sure the guys in kraftwerk never thought their music would be played on a lap steel.

Kraftwerk started out playing conventional instruments. On their first album "Kraftwerk" they played electronic organs, guitar, flute, violin, percussion and drums.

What the Fuck is he singing in German language at the end of the Song? Makes no sense at all
@vtpnp Жыл бұрын
Just listen to Kraftwerk and you will notice why it makes sense.
@rainerkornmusic Жыл бұрын
@@vtpnp I know my Kraftwerk and i speak German. I am in fact from Germany and i don't understand what he's singing. It is not the Lyrics of the German Version.
@luxie80974 ай бұрын
from my small german knowledge, i'm pretty sure he's just saying random german sounding gibberish, with the odd actual random german word in between. i could make out kartoffel (potato), fleischen (flesh) and ausfahrt (exit). doesn't make any sense lol.
