This was the video that got me started into wet shaving and that was a decade ago.

Thanks to Brian's videos, I switched from using Gillette 3-4-5 blade razors to a safety razor. I only wish my father had introduced me to it when I was younger. I made the change at 54, and I’ve been free from ingrown hairs ever since. Thank you for making such a difference!

Synthetic shaving brushes for me are nowhere as good as badger brushes. I only use a synthetic brushes now because l think its totally wrong to kill the badgers for shaving brushes,the arrogance of humans. If they shaved the badgers hair let it live and shave it again like sheep, l would still buy badger brushes only,far superior feeling on my face.

I switched from an electric shaver straight to a safety razor, a friend had one and I thought it looked cool and it bothered me that the heads of electric shavers were always so expensive. I briefly watched a tutorial on KZbin and started straight away, it worked well the first time without cutting myself and even if you cut yourself, normally the "wounds" are so small that they close quickly and don't hurt. I always look forward to shaving and I am completely convinced by the safety razor. But I also have an electric razor and beard trimmer in the closet for when things have to be done quickly.

It's shocking to me my dad never taught me how to shave. I had to learn by myself using cartridge crap. Lots of great tips here. He used 2 blade bic disposals and I noticed he used it till the "moisturizing strip" was completely gone and still kept shaving with it.

Over priced product! Not worth it! There's others razors that get the job done for a fraction of the money! My wife got me one & aside from the looks, the pedestal and single blade it's just a waste of money!

I need to work on my soaping and lathering. In the meantime, can I cheat and substitute with whipped cream? I'm indigenous. I only have four hairs on my face. I think it should okay. Real good tips here. Especially the moisterizing. I couldn't talk for half the day.

What razor stand is that ? I am looking for a stand for this razor, and that one seems to fit perfectly, but wich one is it ?

Anyone who gives me advice in a Scottish accent gets my attention far more than ordinary accents, and I might say, I think I trust them more. Love this video, the whole thing, script, filming, and all of it. :-)

Amazing video... Here in Colombia we only got Dorco and Bic... At least in my city... I get 3 shaves per side out of a Dorco.... Maybe a hard fourth one... I once bought the famous Feathers... Very expensive but got 8 shaves per side

All good choices. But my personal choice for a real close shave that is in no way irritating is the Merkur 37C. The slant design may appear intimidating, but it is super comfortable. The perfect angle to your face is automatic.

Such a shame that executive shaving has closed down 😞
