Great performance! I love the album this is from! Glad your fret hand is doing better! I seriously lacerated mine about ten years ago and I remember just having an awful time not being able to play guitar and make music!

Lovely piece! The music video is perfect! I've noticed a lot of ringing bell-like tones in your guitar playing, they give off a glassy almost crystalline feel sometimes in your pieces! It's perfect synchronicity!!!

Lovely sounds! I love the pixelated view of nature with the radio tower and the streetlamp in the snow - it's like nature through the lens of technology (and the tension between the two). This also seems to be echoed in the music as well - the organic sounds of acoustic guitars and (what sounds like) a creeping synth note, which becomes very prominent at around 1:30 and then fades to the background again, seem to be two (normally) opposing viewpoints creating contrast but ultimately harmonizing together. Can't wait to hear the album that this is on!

i’ve been trying the pinky hammer on part for the longest time and i just don’t get that last part any tip?
@BjornBols8 ай бұрын
Are you making sure you're hammering on the B string from the third fret to open? The notes should be D (3rd fret on B) B (open B string) G (Open G string). Try playing along with the song to get the rhythm right, I hope that helps somewhat!

Whoah!, I was just looking through your videos and saw this! This must have been an interesting thing to do. I have always loved filmmaking and have tried my hand at a couple of short films but have never thought to engineer sounds for one (I think Foley Artist is the technical term for people who do this). You did a great job, everything lines up as it should and makes sense from an audio standpoint. I think it would be interesting to take some footage and add sound that creates a different narrative from the one the original filmmaker intended (like a romantic scene but add horror noises and eerie music instead, for example). This has given me some ideas!

Wow, I've never seen this film before, it looks really interesting! The music in this reminds me of another filmmaker named Hal Hartley. He soundtracks his own films and his style since the 2000s had/has a very similar vibe to this. It sounds great, interesting, peaceful, and a few subtle effects that add texture and atmosphere! 👍

Beautiful song! I've been going through more of your videos and have been loving more and more of your work! I also dig the old Soviet animation you used, there were some absolutely beautiful cartons and movies made in Russia during this period!

This one is wonderful! The two EPS were like bookends to each other while this one is more of a complete journey. I particularly like hearing Arasame's Celestial Dream again, that was my favorite from Ancient Moon. Pasargadae had what sounded like a recording of thunder that was really nice (I've used thunder in musical recordings too - I love field recordings combined with music!). In the River Pinaris, I heard you making wind/atmospheric sounds with your mouth while running a delay - I've done the same thing before (there is a lot of music here that I personally resonate with)! And you do it so well here! And then the drums in Palace Stone was interesting - almost like a traditional pop/rock tune at times but more organic. I thought it made a fitting conclusion as it ended on a note of familiarity and completeness. I said in my last comment that I could listen to this while doing something creative, well I nearly finished a song I had been working on while I was listening to this one! It was a very inspiring listen and one that I will definitely revisit again soon! Thank you for sharing it!!!

I listened to Ancient Moon and loved it! This one is great to! Similar warmth and ambiance, but a different feel and instrumentation throughout that sets it apart. I think both album covers capture the essence of the albums as well. Ancient Moon definitely had a nighttime feel, while I see spring and water a lot in my mind when I listen to this one. They're kind of like day and night companions to one another. This is great music, I'm definitely going to be listening to this one again, probably when I'm doing something creative! Thank you for making this!

Wow! This is an amazing album you made! A beautiful blend of natural acoustic instruments and electronic noise that creates a dream captured in sound. I literally feel like under moonlight while listening to this! You mic'd everything perfectly as well - everything is so warm and with just the right amount of ambiance! It sounds like an analog recording though I suspect it's a very well-done digital recording! I'll definitely be listening to this again - and you've gained a new subscriber!
