My wife and i love this hotel, it is ideally situated just across the magic bridge to Disney Springs. The facilities and accommodation at the hotel are excellent. You are not tied to the hotel, 5 minutes walk away there are excellent restaurants and entertainment. I shall be visiting florida and this hotel again in February to celebrate my 73 birthday and our wedding anniversary. Remember, you are never too old to be a child again.

This was a really helpful video, looking at this hotel for a future trip. How did you find the transport to and from the parks? Looks like it's close enough to Saratoga if the shuttle isn't available for any reason?

Thank you Nathan, appreciate that. Transportation was great, never used the bus/shuttle from hotel but it seemed to run well. Yeh in my Vlog series from this trip I show myself getting the bus from Saratoga

Amazing experience, cabin crew on virgin have always been first class (in all seats), I like that they are professional but also informal getting to know each other

Just a quickie mate, did you book the flight alone or was it a package ? I am looking into using my Virgin companion voucher or bidding for an upgrade and it looks like its available on flights only ? Cheers.

@@carbslayer this trip I booked flight & hotel as package through virgin (as it worked out cheaper), then logged onto the booking through the manage booking on their website to log bid. It has its moments at times (some times says bidding for upgrade is not available on this flight), possibly better phoning? I checked daily lol 😆 if they deem it a popular time to fly they may not offer bidding, as they know they will make more from straight upgrades 😬

It’s an amazing experience, I hope everyone can experience upper class, I mainly save on booking an economy classic seat because I’m a Virgin Atlantic silver member & Virgin Atlantic credit card holder plus air miles, I then bid for an upgrade, if I win and pay for the upgrade it can sometimes work out the same price as a normal seat

@@MacBlogs Craig's now got a companion voucher and we've saved 150k virgin points so hoping next September we can get some fancy seats 😁 We come back premiem so it'll be nice to experience that in September but we'd already booked next may so will have to wait till next September. Fingers crossed.

I stayed there back in '20 when none of the Disney Hotels or Parks were open due to Covid, but Disney Springs had just reopened. I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the pool area and the immediate access via short walk to Disney Springs. Great vlog series.😊

Hey good tip about getting Uber/lift out of universal is to walk to hard rock hotel 2 mins from the park and order pickup from there dead easy 👍

I'm going to be honest with you, I didn't enjoy Luminous as much as I thought I would when I was there. To me it just felt cheap compared to the others like Happily Ever After or Fantasmic. I loved the world celebration garden they added though. One of the issues I had with Disney World when I first went last year was that it was lacking like a proper therapeutic place that you could go to relax. But then they added the new garden area Epcot and I actually nodded off when sitting on one of the chairs

Can’t argue with that, happily ever after and fantasmic are top tier 👌 I was expecting more from Luminous maybe that why I thought it was short, I like harmonious to be fair. Agreed, the space they have created there is great, opens up the park and doesn’t feel like it’s crammed, which helps with any anxiety 😁
