Watching this again (I’m in Kefalonia). Excellent stuff Windsor. There’s quite a good local (Norfolk);Steely Dan tribute band. Their work (Fagan, Becker and all the session guys) never fail to catch my attention. Obviously Gadd is beyond good. Keith Carlock is excellent (he was with them (post Walter) when we saw them in Dublin with the Doobies. The Aja solo makes me sit up … and I’m not a drummer. I think Jon Harington (guitar) is their musical director on tours. He is a bit magical too. Getting lost in music tells a story. I bet you’ve got a few good non 3P stories to tell. Anyway, as always, all the best

Thx Windsor. Just had a gander. Listened to a couple including Rikki. They never used to play that live. BTW I'm much happier listening/watching live music than recorded (though recording can be fun if you're doing it). I suppose it's a bit like being in the moment ... again _ like a football game. Liked your comment about the England/Spain game. Funny how people get so invested in matches _ the new religion huh. Perhaps the Christians should play a just-for-fun game with the Muslims (or other religion of birth). Mind you, someone would probably feel seriously judge-mental and start a fight ... and away we go again. Just joshin'. Best wishes

All wonderful things for many people, for sure, and as I see it, the deeper we insightfully see how we create our experiences of such externals, the less we place our sense of wellbeing on them and the more beautiful, appreciative and deeply fulfilling our experience of them can become in ways that enhance all the material things we get to steward - happiness from the inside out. 😊

@@windsordrumshe was heavily influenced by him, so it makes sense. Hearing you slow it down reveals it for me. Until then, I thought it was Danny’s own thing. Just replace the 16th notes on the hat. Right?
@windsordrums4 ай бұрын
@@mostlyanchors168 thank you for your reflections - I’m now hearing Danny’s beat in a new way. Yes it’s similar to ‘Levee’ yet the polyrhythmic take on that moves it to a very new level. Very cool! 👌🏽
@windsordrums4 ай бұрын
@@mostlyanchors168 on this one, if Danny quoting a similar version the beat for “When The Levee Breaks” was his intention, he further made it his own not just by adding the 16th’s on the hats but the 3/16 polyrhythmic figure that really makes this one pretty elegant, rhythmically, and even more satisfying to get down.
