It seems that remapping doesn't always work. The internal cheat function still matched its hash with Pink Traffic cheat despite of you pressing WSAD most of the time. You can either switch to gamepad, or use arrow keys for movement to prevent the hash collision from occurring. The hash collision occurs shortly after picking up the pickup, which drops current wanted level by 1. You can also trigger sunny weather, or spawn Hunter from WSAD.

Finally a good tutorial. Most I saw before were about 3rd party frame limiters to hit the right frame to dupe/start vigilante om0. Your strat to watch CJ’s feet aligning is a mega help.

Man i simply can't rush wrong side of the tracks, everytime i fall off the train or i don't get the bike in the right position and i fall. I guess in my speedruns i'll simply do this mission the normal way

Thanks so much for this, this answers so many questions including why speedruns I've been watching have super low framerates while om0ing/duping - I thought it was the glitch they're doing bugs the fuck out of the game and it starts to run super slow, but from this and your recent video discussing the rule change I now know that the glitch has a super strict frame window and that they've been reducing framerates to basically forego most of the skill needed to hit them. I feel like my third eye's opened lmao

What was the rule change? 🤔 As a hobby, speedrunning seems pretty decentralized, apart from the leaderboards.

Frame rate can be toggled with an external tool to any value during the San Andreas speedrun. This means changing the frame rate to be literally 1 frame per second to perform frame perfect tricks. There are other more complex ramifications to do with cycles that create situations where some actions are not possible otherwise but are now part of top runs. All in all, some people see the above as generally positive changes. More power to them. Agree to disagree.

@@DiskoSpider ah I see. IMO any tool-assists should be in a separate category: playing with a turbo-controller, input macros, or a trainer makes it into something else. I wonder what would happen to all the newer strats if the stock PS2 version had to be played. 🤭 Hopefully players will keep finding innovative things despite the tooled runs.

@@charlessmith5465 Completely agree. The big issue I have is that this completely replaced the existing category instead of, as you mentioned, being separate. The runs are cool and all but I can't ever understand the unwillingness to compromise and recognize this as a totally different animal.

@@DiskoSpider rng is alright in speedruns, however san andras is not some nes game that can be completed in 10 minutes, why would you as a runner enjoy playing as you said in another video for 8 hours just reseting. its not fun for the runners, not fun for the viewers.
