I made this video not as a moderator, but as someone who has enjoyed speedrunning this category for a long time (maybe close to a decade?)
My opinion is that there is no real justification that a rule change should be made.

Whenever someone asks about adding Los Santos to the main leaderboards, it's always met with, "There's nothing stopping you from running a category. It doesn't need to be on the leaderboard" Now they're suggesting having a category which literally modifies game files to the main leaderboards?? Honestly, Any% is already dead and people should just run NMG, or that other meme any% that uses Cheat Engine Also, 12:01 is the pettiest shit I've ever seen smh

I wondered why Old Reece was nowhere to be seen and what happened to the sub-14min runs, then I realized that's on the remaster-any% board. Absolutely nobody: 🙂. Any% speedrunners: 😤 Old Reece is the star of GTA-SA now and the entirety of the game can be skipped.

I stopped watching GTA speedruns like a year ago... I remember the WR was like 30 mins, and I just looked at the leaderboards rn and the current WR is over 3 hours. What happened with AJS? Was it banned? Why?

Because Any% AJS were done in remastered version. Mods decided to seperate Original and Remastered versions since Definitive edition also came out.
