LMK WHAT YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THE NEW ANIMATIONS AT THE END OF THE VIDEO!!!!
@justaguy_eatingtacos15 күн бұрын
My opinion comes five months after you posted so I w9uldnt be surprised if there's been a lot of updates and changes but it sounds like a lot of your complaints come from you trying to personally build/craft everything yourself. The game wasn't intended to be played that way in my opinion. I was struggling with the grind until I came to the realization that villager management is 1000000000000 times more efficient. I can't even remember the last time/thing I crafted/built/researched anything. Probably was a stockpile though because it's quick and easy for quick outpost building. I'm fully t2 now. I'll he seeing soon how the t3 stuff is.

Over 11+ years ago Experimental Rust was released "early access" on steam. The game at the time and still is the most advanced content wise I've ever seen. Gary Newman created the game after selling Garry's Mod on steam. Gary publicly posted the in depth development process as he made Rust which I followed closely. I'm doing a lot of the same things they did 11 years ago and some things they are still doing like the Dev Blog which I guess mine is technically a VLog lol. It's good to stay organized in what you are working on because making changes in many different things at once can cause problems with the game that can easily become hard to remember where to fix. I'm starting to have 100s of blueprints that all sound the same lol! It seems wise to work on maybe one or two big tasks a month and the tasks related to the main task. I keep thinking back on what I remember from the early days in Rust as I work on my game and I'm trying to use and do what I've learned from them.

Have u tried using the fracture tool - could work really nice with mining the stone so x hit x values shatters- 1 mining hit, portion of the top and in radius goes off , next animation more pieces, 3rd animation even more, 4th animation it all shatters/breaks apart and if you are using the physic ¨enabled¨it should automaticly just fall to the ground regardless the end of animation. Then add into blueprint if x animation is used - dissapear after x amount of time, or might be easier to simply despwn asset Might be cool to have some fish lifes !! Fishing Pool A Horse Awesome to see you figuring stuff out !
@TheIslandFarmer32117 күн бұрын
yes just started using fracture tool with my rocks, i plan on using it with bushes and things in the dungeon also. could figure out the piece per hit, my entire rock kept breaking on hit. but i didnt mess with it for too long, ill try again. I have some fish that are just particle systems in the pond. i would show it off but my swimming mechanic is broken and doesnt work right now. i did make the underwater look pretty good a few months ago. i def plan on adding fishing~!!

In case the red error of the streaming pool bugs you, Write in the bottom command input: r.Streaming.PoolSize 2000 or r.Streaming.PoolSize 4000 may fix the issue. It is not much and considered the default.

Hey, dont know how I ended up watching this, but amazing work. About the saving variables - I would recommend using structs - add function to populate the each of the structs or even use the struct on the player blueprint. Even array of structs or array of array of structs can be saved. It will save time rather than save each variable. Ping me if you need any notes or question - I would be happy to help

On your inventory, you need to have some kind of outline to show how many slots are available to hold items. Not sure if you are able to hold 24 items, 36 items or more.
@TheIslandFarmer321Ай бұрын
I'm starting to think I might need a 4th row. One reason I didn't rush to do that. I'm starting to have a lot of items and I haven't even started adding the majority of them yet lol. Might actually need a backpack thing like rust....

T3 have a door frame/fence gate that's where the front usually be (warehouse don't) you could use that in the ghost building to align the front. And that is what fk up the path finding for me when I placed it in a bad slope the NPC CAN enter the building (via teleporting through) but CANNOT for some reason teleport out

I made a cooking outpost within my main town. That way you can keep all the cooked meat seperate and get them eating veg you plant in the farms. The people in the meat outpost eat the meat but they cook so much it doesn't matter. You could do the same thing with honey I guess just have the peeps taking care of the honey eat that and save the most of it for when you go fight. I gather my army, order them to interact with a stockpile them just eat 1 and take one for later. I just have smoked meat in said stockpile so they only take smoked meat, you could have 2 different meats in the same stockpile but they will only take the lowest. i.e. If you have small smoked meat and smoked meat the would only take the small.

marching armies are quite easy, just build barn to where your armies destination in between where they march from, make it 2 barn, stock the barn with high quality food like fine meat stew & fine meat roast with smoked fish so each 1/3 way your soldiers will get fed or if theyre still full you can stock them with plenty of foods stocking up on each barn you pass thru. but 1st youve gotta clear easy bandit camp to be able to build those barns & make thoese barns a new outpost every single one of them plus dont assign people there bc bandits will not raid them or if they do just put up a fence that circling the barn make it impossible to be looted, easy :)

Is it a tiny bit of lags? Is it the recording or the game?
I just cant be bothered to micro manage everything.. This game SEVERELY needs to implement a delegation system. As in you appoint your lieutenants or those in charge for supply and they automate things based on your orders.
