While I love Ella's version ,n I absolutely love Luther Vandross version the best,Dionne Warwick was the original songstress of this BEAUTIFUL song and was written by the late Burt Bacharach for Ms Dionne,who was an idol of Luther .There is an AWESOME youtube video TRIBUTE of Luther Vandross singing this song in honor of Dionne Warwick.

The original singer of this Song was Dionne Warwick in 1964. But each person put their love into it. And the late GREAT Mama Ella is not exception to the rule, but she turn the rule on it's ear. But give Dionne a listen, her voice is like light shinning thtough pure crystal. I like Karen Carpenter's version too.
