Fuyutsuki really was the guy in this show with the strongest moral fiber and I could totally imagine him stepping up to the plate to being a surrogate father figure for Shinji in Gendo's stead. It's really telling that, despite his social reservations, his first instinct after Second Impact is to become an unlicensed doctor to address the shortage in medical personnel; to help the sick and dying.

I wanna kill myself for wasting my time with the series and movie should’ve just watch this 💀💀💀. But for it felt like a fever dream watching this show and the fact misato kisses Shinji and dies is willd and why did she kiss him????

Misato is suppose to be the guardian and teacher of Shinji but the problem with her is how she copes and tackles her mental problems which is through sex and pleasure. When Shinji was at his lowest mental state the only thing Misato knows is to kiss him hoping it would also help him cope but that clearly didn't work.

You should really check out the Evangelion manga if you want to see more of Yui Ikari's plans and character. Her goals for Shinji and the Evas are really prominently shown, especially during the Third Impact.

Everyone in Evangelion is twisted. When I first saw the series, I thought Yui was the only one with near pure intentions. She was pulling the strings more than Gendo. In a sense she is the extreme of each emotion. Great analysis!

i love eva and i love the lore so much. my pfp is unit 01 lol. one thing i hate is how people treat the misato and shinji kissing as a lewd scene. if they have really watched the show, they would know that asuka was out fighting the white angels all by herself, and shinji was curled up and afraid to go out. misato was fatally wounded and there was only one thing she could do to motivate him to pilot the eva. it was an act of desperation from misato cuz shinji is the only one who can pilot the eva. she says "go fight and come back alive for more of these" clearly motivating him to go fight and it worked. many people tend to think misato was in love with shinji which is absolutely absurd. she was clearly interested in kaji and people tend to talk and criticize the show based off that one scene without actually watching. anyways thats what i wanted to say. AND, a lot of stuff happened before episode 1 like what caused the first impact, katsuragi expedition and stuff. i recommend u to watch "evangelion in 7 minutes" for more lore content about the beginning and not just the ending. ty :)

The show left me with way more questions than answers. The only thing they built up to reveal was that Evas were human. Which was not at all the main question I was ever thinking. Lol

The story makes much more sense if you view Yui as Lilith, in the metaphorical sense. She is the spiritual manifeststion of Lilith - as in the mother of all humanity. Her "love" for Shinji and her plans for the world all for Shinji, isn't actually for Shinji as an individual nor as her child. No, Shinji's role for her, is that Shinji is the representation of humanity for her - the hope of humanity. And so, Yui's selfish plan was never for Shinji as an individual, nor as a mother in the emotional sense for Shinji, but for own ideals of what humanity is and what she can do for them. Yui is perhaps incapable of real affectionate love. The "love" she has is akin to Bondrewd in Made in Abyss. It's dark because it could've been any other child - "Shinji" didn't need to exist. The tradegy of Shinji was that his "self", the real "Shinji" was never loved.

Some questions I'll write as I think of them: Why do eggs need spears? "Since lilith lost her spear, adam was locked by his own" - what does that mean? Why can't adam create angels anyway? there is a limited number of angels, which gendo knew about. If these eggs were on a bunch of planets, surely there would be unlimited angels? If gendo created 3 evas, why was the red one over in germany, and there was a 4th in america brought in later too right? If a human touching Adam makes a global disaster but splits Adam into a soul and body, why would an angel touching Lilith destroy it fully and enable Adam to create more angels? There was a reveal of a second spear thingy at some point right? Before the first one that was in orbit comes back. I think it was used against shinji in EoE but I can't really remember. what's that about? If shinji reverted the third impact to bring humans back, particularly all his friends, why is it just him and asuka?

Uh! Am I supposed to believe that Yui knew Rei - mother of all mankind out of billions of her children would choose Shinji - a messed up kid to decide the fate of all humanity and he would definitely make the right choice ? Yui must have a time machine to be so confident! 😂😂😂
