Lived in small town near Cleveland from 1953-1957, remember channels 3,5, 8. Yeah, I was part of the biggest generation in history, baby boomers, jids everywhere to play with. These were the shows I watched (shown above).

I grew up in the 80s and I remember a location on the corner of 117th and Berea. I think there is a Staples there now.

The secret onion ring recipe was Drake’s Mix. Manager at the KK on Euclid Avenue in Euclid pointed to the kitchen when I asked. Drake’s Mix was on the shelf. So much for the “secret family recipe”.

That's what I Loved about Lanigan: the way he spits otu "Pittsburgh?!" when the guy at the beginning says he's performing at the comedy club with a guy from there. Lanigan was such a smart ass and I loved him for it.

Had Merv Griffin traveled to Cleveland, Ohio in mid-late 1988 and watched WUAB’s Prize Movie and listened to WMJI 105.7, he would have hired John Lanigan to take over daytime Wheel of Fortune on NBC.

I don't remember the juice being anything special. Now the chip-dip, that's a whole other story... And isn't it strange that the truck passed up all those other states, just to get to northeast Ohio?

One of the better Bowery Boys movies. Very entertaining, partly due to the very good songs "lipsynched" by Sach. I always thought the actual singer was Bing Crosby, but it was a guy who sang like Crosby - - which is why he never got famous. I just watched it (and DVR'd it) again on TCM last Saturday morning. Brings back memories of when I was a kid (60+ years ago).

Good ol UNCLE BILL'S. As I walked out of the Aetna store a bird that was in a nest near the roof shit on my shoulder. I was wearing my wmms shirt. Apparently the bird had blueberries for breakfast and that stain was on that shirt for the rest of its life. I still have and use to this day the GE stereo clock radio cassette player i purchased that day.

Oh wow,..we used to shop Uncle Bills when I was growing up in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland,....University Heights. It was near Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights. We went to the Northfield location, so often it was like our favorite place to shop. I was born in 1953,....we shopped there in the 60s & 70s. I moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1977. I haven't visited Cleveland since 2007. My folks died a long time ago. I have an older sister that I am estranged from, who lives in Shaker Heights. It is now: 2/10/21

Colonel Harland Sanders franchised his fried chicken to already-established restaurant chains. He didn't have the expenses of constructing new restaurants. He would make the rounds in person, making sure the product was being prepared properly.
