I was part of the studio crew for Prize Movie for about a gazillion years. John was a great guy. Except for the time that I bought a garden tractor from him, and it immediately broke down.

OMG! I remember this show! John Lanigan was the man back then, both on radio and tv. Talk about a walk down memory lane.

That's what I Loved about Lanigan: the way he spits otu "Pittsburgh?!" when the guy at the beginning says he's performing at the comedy club with a guy from there. Lanigan was such a smart ass and I loved him for it.

Had Merv Griffin traveled to Cleveland, Ohio in mid-late 1988 and watched WUAB’s Prize Movie and listened to WMJI 105.7, he would have hired John Lanigan to take over daytime Wheel of Fortune on NBC.

This is where I first saw Orson Welles TOUCH OF EVIL (my all time favorite movie) back in the mid '70's. Another favorite, Don Siegel's THE LINE UP, ran the day before. Ah, memories.....

I'm with you, Dan ... I loved the theme song. Damned if I know what it was, though.
