I just ordered mine for a 2024 1500 LTZ but it doesn't seem to get flush with the edge of the hood, do I just need to work it in better? It was a bit stiff as it's kind of chilly out but may return because that will drive me insane lol.

I did the odd numbered upgrades, all were well worth it. The next mod is the 50 gallon tank, because 24 gallons with a 6.2 is a joke when hauling.

Those LasFit lights are no joke!~ I did those on my 2023 Silverado and man, what a HUGE difference they made. Relatively cheap to do, as well.

“Half burnt out” I can’t believe that you said that.!! My father was in material control (aircraft maintenance) for 20+years. In the Air Force. Back in the middle 60’s a pilot wrote that down on a “critique sheet” that a gauge had a light half burnt out ! The crew chief and others tried to figure out exactly what that meant. No one had heard the expression before especially from a college graduate and pilot of a jet fighter. Come to find out that the gauge in question had two bulbs in it and one was indeed burned out. I’m not making fun of you in anyway. I’m just saying that it’s been a long long time since I’ve heard that expression. And I’ve remembered it all these many many years. And I’ve never heard it since. You put a smile on my face. He had a lot of stories about that life. And I miss him so. Would you believe that one number out of sequence for a radar dome on a F-80. Will get you a complete .50 caliber machine gun. Packed in a huge wooden box . The original part ordered is really not that much bigger than a very big breadbox.

I did these exact upgrades on my new to me ‘18 Silverado. They make such a huge difference and don’t break the bank. I can’t say I see the same results with the radio antenna mod, however form over function won and it looks awesome. I know in the past you’ve done the AMP steps; I live in Ontario Canada so same climate as you. Any other step/running board options you’d recommend that don’t break the bank?

I'm sure the reason why Chevy does a two-piece floor liner instead of a one piece is because the floor liners are so thick and heavy and they are such a tight fit you would not be able to put them in or pull them out with ease. Plus with a two-piece if only one side needs to be pulled out and claimed then you could easily remove just one side. As for the cargo bed liner mine came a box at least 50% larger than the husky liner and I could barely lift it because it was so thick and heavy.

As for me it be still a long time before I would trade in my 2021 Trailboss which is also Red just got it looking the way I want still want to add some more feature to if. A lot of the features I put on mine was from watching your videos such as the AVS Pro hood shield with integrated turn signal lights, Also went the Putco Tailgate Light bar with the direct fit Harness. I also changed all the signal lights to Lasfit Led,,I also put a Flat Black Rally striping on hood and tailgate the truck which made it look awesome, wish I could post a picture of what the truck looks like...Next I will be changing all the badges to all black to give it a Blackout Look so there will be no chrome on the truck, the list keeps goes on as you Know..😄😄😄😄

Nice truck and story of your grandpa. Can you go over the auto stop and DFM aspects of the newer model? Maybe the differences between your old one versus this new one? Are they still using the mud terrains ? Are the seats heated and cooled? Etc.

Isn't the 6.2 a lower compression than the 5.3? Wouldn't this mean that anything over 87 is a waste as the 5.3 takes 87?

If you live in any hot environment i highly recommend going with the mx4 which is essentially an upgrade to the bakflip g2 which ive owned for 4years, my truck stays outside in the south florida heat and it has aged very well, i know its a bit more work to operate than the revolver but to me it is well worth it, i just bought a brand new truck and based on my personal experience with the g2 it is a no brainer, i will be going with the mx4
