No idea why they didn’t set the 6.2 up with E85 capability.

My father n law took my escalade 2007 6.2l to the store and he decided to fill it up. Well he did with 87 and since I've had it I only use 93 and to my surprise no knock no nothing. I've been using 87 for the pass 2yrs with no issues no knocks. Guess I lucked up

My Ford F150 was purchased 12/2021, a BAK Revolver X4 was added with the original purchase. It has a Ford emblem installed either by a licensed third-party purchaser or by BAK. ANYWAY, THE TOP VINYL PULLED AWAY FROM the glue, as did the felt underneath. The third-party vendor replaced it 7/5/24 and no more felt, it has rubber brackets in place of felt now. My question has to do with warranty, if you know. I’m being told there’s only a 1 year warranty on the replacement, but I’m also hearing that BAK has a 5-year warranty. Do you know what the warranty is? Great video, thank you!

Now that you have owned this product for a while, how is maintenance? Is the cover on the bulkhead easily removable to remove debris? How does it handle snow and especially ice? Will it still open or have you blown fuses?

In addition to my other comment, the felt on the interior X4 which is designed I understand for noise reduction also had a glue failure.

I have the exact X4 cover. After 2 1/2 years, the glue failed on the right side. I do not keep it in the garage. I live in Florida. The heat seems to have taken a toll on the glue and in fact, the vinyl pulled away on the right side of the vinyl top such that it had to be replaced. Thankfully, it is being replaced under my Ford F150 three year warranty just before it expired. I’m not sure if they are going to replace it with the X4 or the X4S. We’ll see.

Do they rattle driving down the road?

If sun fading were a concern do you recommend one of the other? I’m in sunny Florida…also great video- thanks guys!!

Did you say the bed cover can be partially rolled back or needs to be fully rolled back when the bed is in use for bigger items?

I love my HDX step bars. I’ve had them on 2016 Silverado for 8 years in Minnesota and the still look brand new. I went one step further. I line X mine, they will out last the truck. I just traded the 2016 in for 2024 and bought and LINE -X a set of HDX for it

I like the Revolver, how much of the bed width do you lose from the bed rail mounts? I tow a gooseneck and only have about 1.5 inches from my bedside when in a full 90 backing up.

Modern engines not only have knock sensors but also have the computer capability to reduce timing which will reduce performance! So if you run a lower grade of fuel, your performance and mileage both will suffer!!!

Is there a manual override for when your battery dies and you need to get to your jumpbox stored in the bed?

Are you able to remove the jack with the box installed? Do you have to take it apart if you have a flat?

Have a bak flip on my 2015 Ram 2500 Mega Cab. It flips all the way up flat across back window which allows me to pull my 5th wheel camper. It has lasted 7 years but the rubber seals around the flip panels are falling apart.

I wonder under heavy use how the latches on the Revolver might get damaged if you were to toss in some gear and hit the latch would it bend or break?

Can you have one side come down with the app and the other stay stationary? I have family members that need them but I don’t on the driver side.

The revolver would work even better if the camera guy would have cinched up on the passenger side strap.

I've been looking at the retractable covers, I believe I'm going with the Retrax. Believe built better, no maintenance, like locking feature better etc. Not worried about the box being a little bigger worth the trade off for maintenance free and (5 year with) limited life time warranty. Retrax also has a powered model that has lights on canister that can be turned on with the open/ close remote. Also there is the Retrax EQ which can be opened with blue tooth, cab mounted keypad or remote ( don't believe but could be wrong it doesn't have the lock that would hit the rack added on top).

I'm in a dryer climate in El Paso, TX, but having these do clean up the look along that pinch weld area, as well as protection from rock chips and heavy foot steps on the side steps.
