When I was looking to get a 19+ Silverado I stumbled on your channel (you had just gotten the RST at the time) and I'm so glad I subscribed. Finances wouldn't let me get that new truck but I did end up with a super clean nearly all the bells and whistles 15 Texas Edition. I didn't know the extent of what Boost Auto did, but after this video I checked out their site. Basically everything I want to do to my truck that involves wiring they have a (pretty much) plug and play kit for it. Some of it is a little more expensive (just because they do most of the work for you by making the extra wiring into a kit and providing excellent instructions) but I just priced tow mirrors and fully functional mirrors adding lights, turn signals, defrost, and power fold (which my truck doesn't currently have) only cost a little more (including a new door switch) than mirrors to match what I have (other than being tow mirrors) with no extra features.

I think I will wait for them to have a setup that wires into the harness in a way that folds the mirrors when you shut the engine down or put the truck in PARK.

Yeah, my wife’s car does that. Nice feature for sure. I bet the tricky part is where to get that “signal” from when all the modifying you do is in the doors. And I bet just looking for a PARK or a shutdown signal has its negatives too. Those forward and rear spotlights would be useless. Extra motor wear for these big mirrors too…🤔

I guess I can’t think of a time I don’t have my proximity fob in my pocket when I need to get into my locked truck, which is the easiest keyless option. Are they hard wired or do they send a radio signal like a fob?

@@TruckOwnership101 It is same thing as all ford vehicles have. Numeric keypad. VERY handy . I found it at MyChevrolet app under accessories . 250 CAD

@@serhiy888 Yep. My question is: are they are hardwired into your door to unlock your tuck once the combo is entered, or if its send a radio signal. If it’s sends out a radio signal, then it’s basically a fob with a combination activation stuck to the side of your door. Nice place to keep one if you just need to get into your truck, but not start it.

I’m in the same situation as you. I bought OEM tow mirrors and boost auto wiring. now I would like to upgrade to the folding mirrors. What are all the parts I need to buy? Also, how much more wiring would I have to do to add on to the previous wiring I’ve done? Thanks

These don’t operate with unlock or lock (if you didn’t have power fold from the factory) you have to use that “cheat code” every time you want them to fold in or out.

Yep! Zero complaints. Glad I went for the power fold. With them being extended all the time it’s good to be able to fold them in whenever I get into a parking lot.
