Are those flaps or airbrakes? Most of the panel is under the fuselage instead of the wing. Never seen that before.

To me this is one of the coolest looking planes, and coolest sounding. And i _love _ that announcer. Ordinarily i hate announcers airshows, where did they find this guy who does the retro-tone announcements? He sounds like he belongs on 1930s radio.

Yak-9, Russian Mustang (P-51). Both served in Korea (1950-53), along with other WWII vets such as the F4U Corsair, the IL-2, the Po-2, the A-26 Invader, the C-47 Dakota.

Это не настоящие ЯКи. Новоделы. Летающих оригиналов нет. Многие переделаны из ЯК-11. Заменена носовая часть. Установлен американский двигатель Алиссон.

@@101klipper7 Понятно ! Жаль ! Неужели из тех Яков не один так и не сохранился . Может всё-таки где-то во Франции и есть в музее из тех , пусть и не летающий но полностью оригинальный . Коллекционеры в Европе всегда были .

When they were rolling towards runway, i noticed how small yaks are compared to their western counterparts. I never got why for example mustangs or spitfires were so giant.

The TBM's were built in Baltimore, MD at the General Motors Factory while the TBF models were built in New Jersey if memory serves me correctly. My Dad was an inspector at the Eastern Aircraft, Grumman/General Motors factory in Baltimore.

She came right over my head on Thursday on the run in to go over Buckingham Palace for the Queens Jubilee fly past. I have been lucky to live on the flight path to the Palace for the past 65 years and for the last 50 odd have been outside to watch whatever planes went over, usually after the Trooping the Colour ceremony in June to mark the Queens official birthday

Какие всё-таки красивые машины! Я бы даже сказал - элегантные. А немецкие выглядят по-европейски; угловато и как-то агрессивно, хотя, по своему тоже были, увы, неплохи, иначе немцы никогда бы не завоевали Европу!

Для съёмок в фильме " Нормандия - Неман" были переделаны несколько Як - 11, но там оставили только передние кабины, и поэтому у них был какой - то несуразный вид со смещённой вперёд кабиной. Кстати такой - же трюк был проделан с самолётом Як - 18А для фильма " В бой идут одни старики. А эти одноместные Як - 11 потом летали в фильме " Балтийское небо ". А один урезанный Як - 11 играл роль " Ишачка " - И - 16.

In ww2 the yak-9 was bigger, but these are all reproductions based on the yak-11 airframe so beside paint and some mods it's the same aircraft.

+ John Smith There are three Emils flying and fourth is in rebuild. One in the US (not flying right now), one in the UK (flies very little), and one in Germany (and the owner apparently wishes to remain private.) The fourth is being in built in Germany and I think the owner is from the UK.

@@JohnSmith-rw8uh Italy had a Macchi 205V that was flying a while back, but it is grounded for permanent retirement. I believe that there is a G.59 under restoration that is going to be back-dated to a flying G.55. There are a few others but not many.

@@benchamp6793 извините, не сдержался. Если бы я вас знал, то не спрашивал бы. Во все времена самые высокотехнологичные конструкции создавались для военных целей. Такова природа человека. Сожалеть об этом как минимум глупо. Главный вопрос- в каких целях это оружие используется.
