Yeah once I started using them I realized this. Very frustrating.

I'm an Evil RP player, so don't know Bard well. But looked up his skills and it would be interesting if there was a Bard spec which was viable with Spear Throwers. As you need to bear in mind some key points about bleeds: - Bleeds don't stack - Bleeds won't over-write an existing bleed Bard's R5 would indeed be awesome, completely agree there. But.... the Spear Throwers would likely have so many targets affected by their bleed, that Bard's Top/Bottom R0 bleeds would be ineffective. If you could build a build with Bard which didn't utilize those bleeds, and focused on his R3/R5 talents, then this might work though. You wouldn't necessarily need to have Spear Throwers as Bard's unit (You could though, as his R3 buffs apply to all races), and so could run them on Azru Khor or another commander who gives followup like GtG and then rely on Bard's R5 for damage. He could then likely deal a lot of damage as a support commander (High Command / Unit Defence), although the damage would largely be assigned to the spear thrower's not himself. Bard would be the unsung hero lol.

@@PapaNasty Hey man. Never actually checked that bleeds don't stack or refresh. In that case yes - Bard could only be utilised in a more supportive role as you explained and lose his main damaging potential. Thanks for the response. You live, you learn :D

Just further to this, I just fought the same player as I showed in the video, but I'd swapped Sauron for Witch King (Using Half-Trolls) as a DPS Commander. He's lvl 50 and using 3-5 star gold equipment & relic, so much better geared than my R5 lvl 42 Sauron in purples. But without Sauron's -15% stats I've lost the trade today because I tried to add more damage, and in doing so went below the magic number.

Yes. The Deceiver doesn't scale that well with focus, but also the best focus equipment has Commander Damage on weapon / accessory and HP on helm, so in addition to missing out on unit defence, you also miss out on a lot of command. Also Sauron's 2x DD abilities do very low damage so it's better to allocate that damage to a commander who can better utilize it. Check out the video below, where I objectively compare the damage output of all of the evil DD commanders: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lafCZaOlj6maipYfeature=shared (Although bear in mind, Saruman's R3 ability now displays more damage output than it did when I made the video)

There are some small things which the order affects, but it's very minor and not worth worrying about unless you're trying to do something very specific.

It's not "wrong" But yes enemy formations with higher initiative can avoid 1 round of damage from "Shadow of the Mist" if combat ends in a draw. Many commanders have small things like this, where depending on initiative or evade they could lose a portion of their damage. Agzok's lost damage is very minor compared to others, so I wouldn't recommend prioritizing initiative equipment for him (It's most important for Sauron & the Nazgul DD commanders)

​@PapaNasty Hi, I think you may have miscalculated Agzok "Shadow of Mist" damage. It actually only does %780 over its two turn duration and only %390 on it's last activation. Making it deal less damage than Lurtz Firstborn skill. You need to bring Agzok down a tier just for that

That'd be a really interesting video I think. Although I'd need to do a fair amount of research first before I could be confident on something like that. Which is a big part of why I just did the % damage on DD Commanders this time round. As prior to 2.0 all of the abilities that scaled with Focus (And I presume the ones which scaled with Attack etc too), scaled in different ways. I believe that in 2.0 the abilities which scale with Attack should all scale in a uniform manner, although I'm not sure about the damaging abilities which scale with Focus. As the non-damaging abilities definitely scale differently e.g. White Council Scales 100% per 90 Focus I think, while The Deceiver's +% Damage Received scales 100% per 280 focus I think (This is just from memory, so don't quote me lol). Not sure what my next video will be about at the moment, but it might be some kind of comparison between Good & Evil in the current RP meta, or about Evil Army builds.

Ugluk is about as much of a Troop Commander as Lurtz is. As his base command is similar to Lurtz (12 vs 18) And Lurtz has most of the same "troop buff" abilities that Ugluk has. But Ugluk is essentially a hybrid. As a DD Commander he only has 1x Damaging ability And relies on the Damage from his relic's ability (Which is the equivalent of 6/10 on Pursuer if maxed) The White Hand is really strong, one of the best individual unit buffs on Evil But Outlaw and Uruk-Hai Elite are more hybrid abilities, as they also buff the Commander's Attack But the problem with Uruk-Hai Elite & Outlaw, is that if you discount the Commander Attack portion of them (By not using Commander Damage Weapons / Accessories), then these skills are really bad because the unit buffs they give are only the equivalent of what you'd get from Bloodlines instead. As you'd spend 30 points on Uruk-Hai Elite to get +28 Unit Attack (Total +28), or 30 points on Outlaw to get +35 Unit Attack -5 Unit Defence (Total +30) Comparatively, if you spent 30 points on Bloodlines, you'd get +15 Unit Attack +15 Unit Defence (Total +30) Ugluk also has extremely low base command When you compare his Command to say Glasha, Azru Khor or Gothmog, the real T2 Troop Commanders give their troops an extra +6% Damage Dealt -6% Damage received because they have much higher base command. Also you need to bear in mind too, that although Ugluk is designed to buff his Commander Attack / Unit Attack stats, so that he can be a "glass cannon". But it's a really ineffective design because there's a hard cap on how much +% damage you can gain from attack. With all of this in mind, it is highly likely that Ugluk's formation will deal more damage in a DD Commander build than in a troop commander build. Especially if he had his relic. Anyway, I hope that this answer helps you look at commanders and their skills a little bit differently, as comparing skills to the bloodlines talents is a good benchmark for most skills I think :)
