You did a great job of showing how to do this. I have a similar project in mind. Although I understand that you didn't like to color, I do have to say that the idea of covering up a solid granite countertop with a plastic/vinyl artificial film is kind of a shocker to me! Granite countertops are really the gold standard when it comes to genuine mineral materials... They cost thousands... How does the new surface hold up to knife cuts?

About how long did it take to assemble the frame? And then, how long to attach branches? Knowing this might help me decide if I want to use real or artificial greenery. Thank you!

First of all, thanks for sharing, very helpful! I see you are using separate sheets for the backsplash and the countertop, but not sure if this is because of not having enough size. So, if the width of my paper is big enough, do you think it is a good idea just to start from the backsplash with one single sheet and continue all the way to the edge of the countertop? Do you think the inner corner will later start having bubbles?
@diylilyardor343512 күн бұрын
@@Optimist_Insan it’s too hard to apply. Once it sticks on it’s hard to remove. That’s why we apply them separate to minimize bubbles and application is easier this way. I’m pretty sure we tried it that way and it was too hard. I have slits from knife cuts right now that Have been there for months I’m constantly soaking the tables and wiping and water hasn’t cause it too bubbles up and start pulling up at all. So far the edges in the corners are doing every well. The tape is every strong. I’m glad you found this video helpful.

SO far doing great. some areas have tiny scabs from stuff falling on it. Like a sharp knife dropped or heavy metal objects. All the edges are doing great. No bubbling or peeling! The stains come out great with white eraser. Also learned that tumeric/carrot stains fade away eventually because of sunlight if the white eraser doesn't get them. Would I do this again! HECK YES! We have wooden boards I always keep along the wall if I ever need to put anything hot on it.

Lovely helpful video thanks, very disappointed in KZbin however for whatever devilment is bugging their transcript service as they’ve really botched your wording and managed to turn it into a new and illegible garbled language . A true disservice to your efforts. Thankfully your audio is nice and clear😊
