This is a perfect size for what I’m looking for. Do you have plans that the miter saw can flip down?
@thehandymanchannel3153 ай бұрын
Thanks and thanks for watching . I’ve had it in use for over a year now, and planning to do some slight modifications/ improvements , including drop down for the chopsaw. That video will be out in about a month, with new plans as well.

I bought the plans. In comparing them to the video, it looks like you made the bench top support as a rectangle then later cut out the opening for the miter saw. Is that correct? Hope you see and answer asap. Thanks in advance

You cannot legally pass the power cable in the wall. You need a proper outlet behind the TV. Not that I consider this dangerous, but it's the law.

Hi, new curious newbie here to the woodworking hobby. Really good video. Loved the circular saw trick for cleaning up the inside of those joints. I don't have a lot of tools, so I appreciated that. Yeah, with a few additions, I think I'll have a go at this. Cheers subscribed, man.

Love this bench and I’m right in the middle of building my own from this design. Question: Would it be easier to cut your lap joints on the legs BEFORE attaching them to the top? Thanks in advance.
@thehandymanchannel31511 ай бұрын
Hi Marty, thanks a bunch for watching. It would definitely be less awkward , yes. You’ll just need to make sure you have your measurements correct so the top of the tablesaw is in plane with the top of the bench. Good luck with the build!

Thanks for sharing, I just finished my version of your design and I love it! One thing I will mention is that at my 28" width the casters when deployed prevent use of a normal doorway. I have double doors on my shop if I need to take outside so not an issue, just an FYI for others...

Great video. I plan to build a similar setup but a bit wider. I don't plan to plane the 2x4s down as it doesn't add any value and I don't plan to do lap joints as glue and screw is good enough to support the table saw. Other than that, I plan to copy everything else so I can get it done in a day. Thanks for the video!

Man I’ve got to point out you have the heaviest and most dangerous tool hanging off the side unsupported. Not to mention that’s side you’re going to load lumber on from. Be careful she doesn’t tip
@thehandymanchannel315 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching . Been in use for 8 months now, love the bench. Zero risk of tipping, with or without the planer acting as counterweight.
@birkbeck119 ай бұрын
I built this bench and it instantly flipped the moment I set my Hercules table saw on it. The is absolutely no way to safely use the table saw without a some serious counterweight or legs on the platform. I’m adding legs to mine.
@thehandymanchannel3158 ай бұрын
@@birkbeck11I’ve put 2 bags of concrete of the the table saw, with no planer on the bottom shelf, and the bench doesn’t tip. That said , if you don’t have a planer to act as a counterweight you can store your miter saw down there, or sand , or….. thanks for watching
