I prefer machanix impacts. Offer rubber knuckles great for saving your hand if ut slips in an engine bay or off a tool and you accidentally hit something running $30-$40 and matches the ocp pattern.

This is not true. I am in the Navy. The NWU Type 3 pants do have a supply issue right now. But they are still available on the official Navy Exchange site. They simply are not restocking stores since this affects service members globally. Additionally, "not working sailors too hard" for the sake of keeping their pants clean is a lie. The Type 3 uniform is not worn by any personnel onboard an embarked vessel. Depending on the vessel, the uniform of the day while at sea is coveralls or flight deck gear not to include an SF personnel on board for special exercises. Type 3 uniforms are only worn while ashore, and even then the majority of junior sailors will continue to wear coveralls for the sake of keeping their camies clean considering some work they do can be quite dirty.

Oakley Pilots are pretty over hyped, they don't last very long in military use. I love my mechanix though.

Heat is the main factor. You want heat resistance when choosing a gun. I’ve had my rifle so hot I couldn’t hold onto the hand guard and melted my polymer hand stop.

Pig gloves have lasted me the longest but don’t offer much protection from busted knuckles. Mechanix are absolute garbage and might as well be one time use. Exos are solid and cheap enough that I don’t mind buying a pair every six months.

Nah, the Oakley Pilot gloves are garbage... they wear down way too quick and the seams tear (mostly starting between the thumb and the index finger). I went through two pairs on a single deployment. My Mechanix on the other hand are ready to see their second deployment anytime. And they are cheaper, too.
