I’m a Texan who is also going through the immigration process to get my wife here from the UK. We have been married for 9 months and it’s going to take another 1.5 - 2 years and my wife is not even able to travel here on a tourist visa anymore while this process is taking place. I just don’t get it, she has 3 degrees including a masters and would be a real asset to our nation and I’m a veteran who had a security clearance yet they are still investigating the hell out of us yet 200 miles from my front door millions of unvetted people are just walking in with their hands out demanding goods & services.

Serious suggestion: Put up minefields. After the first few victims - will there will be a lot less victims overall. Legal questions aside. Was it legal to defy Britain in 1776? Would the majority of States, Republicans or even Democrats disagree with *securing* the border at *minimal losses?* (because a scary minefield gets you minimal losses. People may have "nothing to loose" when it comes to razor wire but they still have limbs --> which is why majority won't attempt the crossing, majority will try as hard as they can to go *legally* at crossing points)

Title 32 is what National Guard falls under and can only fall under Title 10 if the states National Guard commander and chief allows it. The reserves are all the feds can Title 10 Also, look at: Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3

That's yet to be seen. You're not understanding the difference between a Title 32 or a title 10 order. National guard falls under Title 32 until until there's a change in the Constitution that allows the feds to screem the National guard is title 10. National guard isn't the reserves. They're state regulated funded and command structured. Also, look at Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3

Biden has repeatedly made requests for additional funding for more border guards and better security at the border, which have been blocked by the republican party. The Supreme Court (the guys who decide what the constitution means) told Texas to let the federal government takedown razer wire, and they are refusing. Texas has been defying the executive branch for a while. That's three for three on the structure laid out by the constitution. That's not standing up for the USA, it is standing against our country.

"The national guard just wants to do their job" Just to be clear, I dont think the military have criminal authority inside the US borders. The reason those military people just stand there and report movements is because port authority and border patrol are law enforcement entities of the federal government. You don't want states getting to dictate border laws because then you will see california "decide" that their border access is wide open... This is a federal criminal issue and states need to respect separate of powers and states rights AND their limitations.
