The beginning of Ch.16 when you choose Raz's partner, their quotes is actually different than a regular selection and they're all unique like this ending sequence. I LOVE how Sega gave every single supporting cast their own unique lines, from the honourable to the afraid, but knowing full well this was to be a one way mission.

Vancey and Zaiga are the best choice to me. zaiga' because of his relationship to Raz. vancey' because of how is the only one survivor of her squad.

Just got around to this point after starting the game earlier this year, I feel like the "cannon" choice would've been either Zaiga or Vancey given their history with Raz. Also goddamn it he was my fav on character on the Feds side ;v; I went with Zaiga in the end but I tortured myself going through all the deployment lines and made me cry inside. The fact that they paid so much attention to the side characters unlike the first game just blows my mind. Even more so with all the Squad Story missions I've done up to this point. (For the record I only played the 1st and now this VC game) Fantastic character developments all around, one of the best I've seen from a video game or even most other media.

What makes these even more somber are when Claude, Raz or anyone else who has a CP badge… something about that awful shattering noise just makes it worse

i didn't want to lose any of the characters that i haven't unlocked their squad stories yet but also because i played the game safe and avoided losing anyone. when the popup said the one to accompany raz might not come back, i had to think of who would actually join raz and for me it was ryan. he's the most jaded person out of everyone and the generic vet soldier last stand thing is too perfect for ryan. this is an old video already but for anyone reading this, who and why did you chose that character to join raz?

The real hero was a Darcsen and a character of your choice. All that discrimination and their skin was saved by what they hated.

spoiler they were gonna kill Raz off why not just give us the Hero potential every turn, I literally only got the potential twice out of 10 retries and once in each game. It would've been so cool to make raz go all out before he died. Also imo Zaiga as a partner is the most fitting one given that zaiga is the closest non-main character to Raz and all his potentials are Raz based

To think, Christel was brought back just to give her life once more. I didn't think I could get more sad than I was before.

I chose simon for this mission because I thought he would be the best person to go out blazing but after I got his rusted handaxe , I just regretted it, to be honest, I would've regretted choosing anybody because I like everyone in my squad, I havent played a serious mission with simon, its just sad. Why am I too emotionally attached to side characters

Saved me hours of painful retries through this mission of knowing that they'll be dead Wouldn't want to spend all that reknown to revive them either

I loved Klau's quotes. He is my favorite imperial rival so far in the series. Love his personality.
