I just dug a refractor Darth Vader out of my garage. Gonna get it graded. it looks pretty good, but we'll see. I'll keep you posted!

How do you know if your cards are worth anything? For example, I have several Luke #1's from 77, but I have seen them priced from $1 to several hundred. Is the only way to tell to get them graded by a service?

Only 1 sticker per pack, actual inserts that look way better than the base set, highly undervalued. Gum removal is a real thing plus like u said the fronts are good. Let em sleep on the sleeping gems😂

Some say the gum stick destroyed the cards, but what if really the cards destroyed the gum?

Y'all are really feisty in this vid. These mega-retailers were charging scalper prices right out of the gate. The price from Topps, Fanatics, and GameStop was $200. Say what you want about that, it's still a lot of money for cards, but sites like Dave&Adams and Blowout fixed the secondary market price from the get-go. In my opinion Fanatics should crack down on them for it, but I doubt that will happen.

Heoabbby Talk. I am digging the Galaxy art this year. They brought back and introduced a lot of solid cards. I like the borderless cards, but still prefer the 2021 style. However, it was sacrilege getting rid of the atomic parallel. Makes me wonder if Topps is up to making a Sapphire version of galaxy like they did with Marvel.

I agree that visual appeal is very important, I really like the 2022 galaxy specially the box art. But I also really like the new sapphire selection, I think in orange or gold they look really good specially in hand.

TBH, the value boxes/blasters are only good for set building to me as well as something for kids to open that isn't a product that's going to break the bank.

Great show, guys. Always appreciate the discussion, even when it veers into more serious topics like which sea-doo is appropriate for your current financial situations. Re: new Chrome, unfortunately don't think these hobbys are going down, simply bc the "potential" value (way more notable autos, aurebesh, other SPs) is much higher than the usual mid-range SW Topps product . 2022 Finest is a significantly worse set than '24 chrome but even those hobby boxes are selling in $300 range 2 years post release. Obviously higher end, but the last two years of Masterwork are selling for around/above $700 -- and 2021 is probably the worst Masterwork release in that brand's history. At the end of the day, this set -- unlike most -- has had hype around it, and that probably spells longer term high hobby box price imo. P.S. Me and my bros bought a case of it (luckily below Topps price) and we got killed on it. Even though we all love the set and ripping it was fun (wheeeee!), the aftermath felt no bueno.

I noticed that you guys didn't bring up the fact about sketch cards returning to this product along with the plates now being a plate booklet with all four plates in one place. The book idea isn't new though, Upper Deck has used it for years in The Cup, a high end Hockey product. The sketches land about 1 in every 2 Breaker's Delight boxes and Topps added Tier's to the sketches, base, sliver foil, black foil and gold foil. The thought is that the more intricate sketches(Full Color art pieces are on the Gold Foil card stock). It does seem an odd set choice since all sketches are 1/1 art pieces. As well, it appears as though the rules on subject matter have loosened up as sketches from the original Cartoon Network Clone Wars animated short series have been allowed to be represented. I have even seen art similar to the Welcome to signs that mimic that of what UD used in S2 or Extended Hockey a year ago.

Sweet job guys, enjoyable look at new SW Topps Chrome. Couple of nice /50 Golds and I'm happy. Breakers delight box is basically cheating, a bit of F U if you dont have money, not cool. Very interested to see 24 Galaxy, yeah boi!

I've watched several case breaks of Breaker's Delight and they are loaded with sketches. Also, they seem to have higher quality autos, but that could be an error of perception. The Reflections cards are way rarer than a case hit. More like a pallet hit. I'm really disappointed with how they handled those cards...there's no reason for them to be so rare. They should have put them in the next Galaxy set as regular inserts IMHO.

Sometimes the actors families get paid for those CGI roles. They might need it. I'm pretty sure that was the case in Rogue One with Tarkin. Not 100% positive but I think the internet told me that once. James Earl Jones got paid for letting Lucasfilm record him so he can voice Darth Vader 100 years from now. So I don't think its a big deal. That said, I'm also all good with recasting too.

The price of your movie and popcorn was 1/32 of a Sea Doo.

Thanks for the regular dose of Star Wars cards realism! I did one box and got some decent numbered stuff on a couple of the better characters so miiiight break even, even with a Harrison autograph as i moved some of the base inserts early to market. (Thrawn /25, Vader /150, Gerrera /50 Aurebesh). A lot of work to get my $125 back! You're absolutely right though that you can pick off steals on single of your favorite character. You both have a good eye for aesthetics. Have you considered ranking autograph and numbered base cards of characters based on visual appeal? I consider that the key in nonsport cards as opposed to "rookies".

I think 2024 Chrome *looks* great. The Aurebesh variants mean all the numbered cards are half as rare as they have been (there’s 10 /5s, 20 /10s, 100 /50s, etc for every character’s base non auto refractors), and sticker signatures are a huge meh in my book…
