Anyone knows why my headbeand part is increasing with every row? I retried it a thousand times and tried to be extra careful at the end/ start of a new row. But i end up with a way to loose fitting hat everytime. I am giving up....

This is a beautiful hat! I just don't understand, I did everything like the tutorial, the number of stiches is right, but the wide is different and much bigger, in mine is 18 cm and in the tutorial is 15.5, what i am doing wrong?...

After a lot of tries I finished the project, but I did just 12 round on the top, and I took 1 round of in every color ,on the last color I took off the 3 last rounds, and didn't add more stiches then the 8 that was, it was precise as the top round. and now it is like the hat on the tutorial. hope it will help! good luck!

Written Instructions: (Make 2) Start with brown R1: Make a slip knot and ch. 5. Slst in the first ch. (NOTE: An alternate way to do this would be to put 5sc in a mr) Ch. 3, and dc 15 times in the hole. Finish with a slst in the first ch. (NOTE: If you used a mr, ch. 3 and put 3dc in each stitch around. Finish with a slst to the first st) Color change to orange R2: ch. 2 and puff stitch around. Finish with a slst to the first ch Color change to yellow. R3: ch. 2 (3 incomplete dc, ch. 2)* Finish with a slst to the first st. [An incomplete dc is when you yarn over, insert, yarn over again, and pull through one loop. Then, yarn over and pull through two loops. You pull the final loops when you have made the correct amount] Color change to beige R4: ch. 4. 3 tr (treble stitch, or triple crochet in the video), ch. 2, 3 tr in the same st [this makes a corner] (the stitches in this row are the ch spaces). 3dc in the next st. 3hdc in the next st. 3dc in the next st. [this makes a side]. Make another corner. Make another side. Repeat this process until you come to the end of the row. Slst in the first st. R5: ch. 2 and turn. dc 3 times in the gaps between the clusters of stitches. (side) In the next space, dc 3 times, ch. 2, and dc 3 times (corner). Repeat this process to the end of the row and slst in the first st. R6: Repeat the same steps as R5. Fasten off. Attach the pieces together. Starting at the corner, sc3. Sc one time in all the stitches. Sc3 in the corner. Repeat for 3 sides. Attach dark brown yarn at the opening. ch. 3. 3dc in each stitch. (The stitches are still the chain spaces). Do this for two rounds around the top. (In Yellow) Ch up to 100, then weave the chain in between the spaces to make a drawstring.
