@@nabeelkz4389 Thanks nabeelkz4389! Yes, it’s indeed a 6G74. I’ve only ever been a passenger in Magna/Verada models with the 6G72. The first time was as a teenager in a friend's parent's KR or KS Verada EI wagon and all I remember was how smooth and quiet that car was (my parents had a Mitsubishi Starwagon at the time, with a noisy 2L carby). Later, in 1998, I rode in a TF sedan when my friend’s parents took it for a test drive. With four people onboard, it was again super smooth but lacked punch. And that’s where the 6G74 shines-it offers a moderate power bump and a significant torque boost, making it a much better and more relaxing drive, in my opinion. What I like: Plenty of get-up-and-go-even after nearly 600,000 km, there’s been no noticeable drop in performance. Absolute bulletproof reliability, I have no doubt it could run to 1 million km with basic servicing. A sweet exhaust note with the Lukey muffler, and I love the tonal change when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd at wide-open throttle. It's easy to service (the intake covering the rear bank is no big deal, in my opinion) and parts are still plentiful and cheap. What I dislike: It idles a bit rough at a standstill in Drive, but shifting into Neutral smooths it out. Once on the move, it’s smooth as silk. The rocker cover seals leak and need regular replacement-thankfully, it’s a cheap and easy fix (I always keep a spare set in the shed). While it was considered fuel-efficient back in the day, by today’s standards, it’s a bit of a gas guzzler if only driven around town. Despite all this, the engine is one of the main reasons I’ll never sell this car. It’s just such a joy to start up and drive.

Hi armandeepjassa4360, I'm sorry for the delay in responding. The cover does a great job of protecting the entire suitcase, but my wife chooses not to use it because it’s tricky to install and doesn’t aesthetically compliment a suitcase that’s designed to stand out.

Where does it discharge water and washing done?
@billymasonpi3 сағат бұрын
Hi dreamhomes6249, I run a grey water hose from the machine just outside of the garage where it can discharge and disperse over some decorative pebbles covering dirt. There is also an accessible stormwater drain but I'm unsure about discharging grey water into it. Anyway, when the machine is not in use, I hang the hose up to dry and store the hose inside the washing machine drum.🙂 See video from about 9:50.

How's this water filter going for you after a year now since this video? Have you noticed a change in your water quality since installing it? And has it been consistent in the last 12 months? Thanks for this video - highly informative.

Hi TheEffortless Man, I'm glad that you have found the video helpful, thanks! The system has been flawless, looking as good as new, with no leaks, and has significantly improved our water quality, particularly by removing chlorine, which is quite prominent in our Central Coast water supply. I recently inspected the filters, and gave the sediment filter a rinse, but haven't changed the others yet, as there's been no impact on water pressure or quality. It’s held up really well over the past year that I would happily recommend it.

Part: Hook Door Window Glass Stabiliser - Genuine Mitsubishi (MB926277)

I have the same White Typhoon without a skirt or controller but it does power on. I am curious to kno how the skirt attaches as I am thinking of making my own and attaching it. Could you please provide some details about that ? Thanks.
@billymasonpiАй бұрын
Hi martinharding7813, certainly.The skirt is secured to the underside using a lightweight, ladder-shaped plastic frame. This frame is attached with several screws. To attach the skirt, first ensure the outer part of it is correctly aligned before fastening the frame. Once the frame is screwed into place, use a small flathead screwdriver to carefully press the inner part of the skirt into the grooves of the frame. The skirt on my black Hovercraft has several tears, and adding tape to seal them has increased the weight, preventing it from lifting. It seems there's a delicate balance between the amount of material used in the skirt, and number of the holes in it, to maintain lift.

Good review and well explained. I believe you need top up charge every couple of months. There should be a green led on the mini jumper cable and when its solid green its ready to crank over. All these units have a slightly different pre start process. Sometimes you have to unplug the jumper cables from the battery pack and start again. After you have started the car just remove the jumoer kit cause the car battery doesn't actually charge the power bank up and it may damaged it. These cheaper ones are good enough to start your car and very handy to have. Thanks again for sharing.

Does the button on the key fob now work to open the boot?
@billymasonpi2 ай бұрын
Hi Angela, yes it does, and it's electronically and cable actuated. Electronically, it's via a button on the key fob, a button on the boot/trunk lid, or if you have a model so equipped, a 'Smart boot/trunk release', where it will open if you stand behind it for about 5 seconds with the key fob in your hand or pocket. It can also be opened by a cable actuated from a lever beside the driver's seat (next to the fuel release)

Hi! I have an 02 Diamante and was wondering if you have had to deal with the clicking mode door actuator? Do you have any knowledge of locating and repairing the part? Thank you!
@billymasonpi2 ай бұрын
Hi BlaxlandRidge3. I haven’t had to deal with a clicking door actuator on my Magna personally, but if it's related to the central locking going haywire - locking and unlocking on its own or not doing either from the remote control, I may be able to help. First, before diving into the actuator, check the remote control battery-sometimes a low battery can cause issues that mimic actuator problems. If the actuator is indeed the culprit, your best bet is to find an original second-hand reconditioned replacement. However, they can be a bit challenging to track down. Alternatively, you can connect up or piggyback an aftermarket actuator. It’s a bit more involved, but it’s a solid solution if you can’t get an original part. I made a video on how to do this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/housmoiVorJogMU Hope that helps, and good luck with the repair!
@Alerrecks2 ай бұрын
@@billymasonpi I'm so sorry for not specifying, I know this was a widespread issue so I assumed you had dealt with it as well. The mode door actuator is actually a component of the air conditioning system. It is the part which directs the airflow out of the various vents. The gear on this part strips out, then "clicks" trying to adjust itself. It also then restricts airflow from the vents. No AC in Florida summer is not fun!

Almost a neccessity with the condition of our roads these days! Sometime after this video I actually returned the car to standard height and sold the King springs, as one of the rear shock absorbers kept dislodging from the spring over expansion joints and I couldn't diagnose the cause. About the sell the springs and rear shocks as a package, I discovered that one was defective after it started leaking everywhere. Although I prefer the lowered appearance, it's far more practical on the standard springs. Perhaps one day I will install coilovers.
