Were you required to wear that mask or did you just volunteer to do so because someone said you should??? I was in Phnom Penh 2 years ago when this was filmed and there was NO mask requirement, so WTF??

I’ve been living in Siem Reap for nearly 2 years now. I love it. I found a modern, 1-bedroom, fully-furnished, 2nd floor apartment with a nice balcony overlooking a coconut tree and mango grove. Beautiful, nature view. My bedroom has 3 floor to ceiling windows and a Smart TV and washing machine. Free water and Internet, all for $200 a month on a 6-month lease, just 1 mile from Pub Street. My scooter rental is $80 a month and I am in heaven! I’m able to live here as a single guy on $1,000 a month while banking $1,000 a month. First time I’ve been able to do that in my life. I’m a healthy and vibrant 70-year old and feel so blessed.

@@Jasmine-qc4st I pay $200 per month with a 6-month lease. $250 per month is the other option with a 3-month lease.

You are very talented my dear. The first video I just watched was about your Japanese-style studio apartment in BKK 1 for $500 with great amenities. Now this one with equally informative and valuable information. I’m now a “like” and “subscriber” so please keep these awesome videos coming!

Yours is the nicest apartment I have seen in Phnom Penh on these apartment tours. All the others are so bare, boring and kind of run down or even shabby-looking. The difference between those and yours is shocking! Very nice swimming pool and weight room too. The co-working space is a nice bonus.

My in-laws are from Sihanouvkville, cambodia. It's definitely possible to live on $500/month but you must rent an apartment and live frugally.

From what a few expats in Siem Reap tell me - several there live quite well on $800 US - SS checks ! Others suggest $1200 to be less 'wanting' or having to pay attention to your budget ? One who lives there told me that you can pretty much live in Siem Reap - '''however you want''' - on $1500/mo. So there's that ! --?-- kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJTUmIJngrl3iJYsi=htcHo-e6Lgf8Wccn

Nice video but unfotunate you made it hard to figure out the places, it's obviously going to be possible for anyone researching the area so why make it hard LOL. As for M Residence, they charge high enough rent that you expect ammenities. Well I found the ammenities to be worthless. It is the only building there I know, so I hope this is NOT TRUE for all buildings? M Residence gym has no A/C so impossibly hot, but also lacks enough equipment for a useful weight training workout except maybe once a month in an emergency. Pool might be OK but ultimately isn't it better to have one with some shade. Otherwise the building is fine but the price/value just isn't there with 1 usable amenity for me personally. I suffered in the micro studio there because there's no desk or suitable seating just a couch, and working 10 hour work days with that posture is... bad for your health tbh.

Nice video, but there is an even bigger audience of people NOT trying to live like SoCal or NYC. We don't want gyms and pools, just a nice place to stay. How about a video for the rest of us?

As far as living in the U.S., I do own a home totally paid off in Southern California. If I wanted to live barebones, with a paid off home, I probably could manage for $1,500 - $2,000 a month (one person), but unexpected expenses can push that up. One thing I'm concerned about in your video is you mentioned you're using travel medical insurance. You're not traveling, but living there. There could be an issue if you have a large medical expense with such coverage. You got to make sure you have the correct coverage.

$50 a night!! Wow! things sure have changed; I never paid more than $8 anywhere in Cambodia....usually around $5....but, that was 20 years ago......most hotels were dumps, but, when traveling for 6 months, one had to keep room price down and dumps were fine.

It is true, unfortunately there are also criminal activities of scammers in Cambodia, the Cambodian police are increasingly looking for hidden calcenters, internationally Cambodia is the stronghold of scammers. Cambodia is a beautiful country. But you should still be careful, just like in any other country.
