Many thanks for your video, it takes me back a few years, my late wife and I moored our boat at Redhill quite a few years ago and had happy times on the River Trent and River Soar

good video. But what i do not understand is. the stern was in the shallow, yet the bow was mid-stream. to me it would have been better from the other side of the bank, with the same angle of attack

Thanks for this video! Solved my problem! I went a bit more comprehensive as I have replaced the fan before so know how to strip. If you take the ice tray out of the top, remove all of the ice mechanism, the top drawer rails you can remove the fan assembly and the top back cover. After this the lower rear cover can be removed and you gain full access to the cooling area and can properly defrost. I should think if the fridge/freezer is left for a day or 2 it would defrost and drain naturally (there is a drain behind the cover at the bottom) but this was a quicker fix!

Because the balance of masses and forces, this way the opposites cancel each other out; if they did both on the same side the cumulative force applied to this planet at that latitude would impact the angular momentum of Earth's rotation and before you know it a week would be eight days long.

A big problem is a lot of these will be hires and they only give them 1/2hr basic instruction on how to pilot them. People with absolutely no experience of boats try to drive them like cars and it just doesn't work.

Its a great show, you need more than one day and plan what you want to see in advance if you can. The weather makes or breaks it. This year was wet on Sunday and very wet on any grass area. Thanks for the vid. Always nice to see from other point of view. best.

I follow two or three people on here , all to do with boats. Of those only one of them is not concentrating on promoting this weeks "must have " So for once it was nice to see another blog about real things, mud, crowds and queuing. THANK YOU . Also interesting to see the average age of people caught on camera......... I think we are either in or heading towards another queue.... the coffin dodgers

Queuing, we are known for it, only in the UK and saying sorry when someone bumps into us. There are some youngsters buying boats, but you are right, mainly us middle oldies

Maybe could have been removed but it's who covers the cost, this was a job to recover a boat, it is down to the CRT to keep waterways clear of obstruction.

@@NarrowboatSuperB I'm sure you have researched how many boats in total have been stuck there and the total proffit from all the acumulative salvages? I wonder why that wasn't mentioned. Also the cost of the diesel and oil pollution cleanup and so on, things aren't always as they seen on the surface

Very soggy Crick show yesterday , its clearly starting to struggle for exhibitors but thats just a sign of the times. My only gripe was being hoodwinked into a 30min masterclass on boatblacking only to find 15mins in that it was a promotion for Hempel paints and products , its company waffle and had nothing to do with boat blacking , so I walked out.

Are you looking to black your own boat, some marina's do a DIY weekend where they take the boat out the water and you have 2 days to black it. There is a blacking vid on this channel that may help.

Hi I’m going to Crick Tomorrow and it’s my first time visiting. I heard somewhere about having to book boat tours in advance but I couldn’t find any information about it on the boat show website and I’m assuming I’m too late to do so. But do you know how I could for next time?

You don't have to book. Just go to the boat and usually wait a min or 2 till there is room to go in. We saw a lot of boats yesterday. It was very bust but this was our third an best visit. Enjoy your day.

Thanks for the peek at the show. Generally I'd agree with you about the crowds. I don't have much patience anymore, but I'm in the US and I wish I could be there even with those crowds so I could meet the vloggers I follow.

Deja vu for me...I had a 60ft wooden narrowboat in 1986 which decided to break mooring and sink right in the Middle of the Grand Union well below the hull line so it couldnt be pumped out. British Waterways had a dredger nearby which came along and broke it up. I was then invoices for £1,700 which was about half my then salary and took me about 3 years to pay off. I only discovered the boat was uninsurable having bought it! Not to be put off i bought a new Liverpool Boats 40ft shell and fitted that out with some of the bits I salvaged such as the windows and Lister engine.
