One of Andy Rooney's blatantly obvious contradictions/hypocrisies is that in one of his "60 Minutes"segments he said that we have to stop using up so many of the Earth's natural resources or we will run out of them......yet in a different segment on what he considered the 5 worst inventions of all-time, he objected to hot air hand dryers in public bathrooms - an invention that although annoyingly noisy, saves on paper towels! Paper, of course, is derived from cutting down trees, so in its' own way, hot air hand dryers reduce the amount of paper towels utilized - so logically he should have been in favor of replacing paper towels with hot air hand dryers and considered hot air hand dryers as one of the greatest-ever inventions!!!! Typical liberal hypocrisy!

I grew up in the 1950s in Washington State. We drank from the garden hose outside while playing as kids and always from the tap inside. We survived! Still here in 2025. ;0)

I knew I wasn’t the only one who noticed that math isn’t part of something that’s supposed to always equal to nothing. Reminds me of the rent & tax joke describing a slum lord or irs acting like Marion Berry asking for more money after it’s already paid.

The Pop-Top was a big step up over what it replaced. That being the Pull-Tab and it's predecessor the can you had to open with the sharp end of a Church 🗝️ Bottle Opener. Oh and don't forget the oft-forgotten Crown Cap Can.

There is a difference between something that is INCLUDED and something that is FREE! If it is TRUELY FREE, then you should be able to rip open all of the cat food packs to get the FREE coins!!!! Same with FREE breakfast at hotels. If the breakfast is FREE , then ANYONE should be able to eat there!

English supposedly is not as easy to learn as people like to think that it is because, for example, there are a number of words that sound exactly alike but are spelled differently and have different meanings - such as "hole" and "whole"! Some other words sound exactly alike and are spelled exactly the same but have two completely different meanings such as "loaf" as in a loaf of bread and "loaf" as in "loaf around".
