You can switch to standard h.264 so you don't have to convert. That might help with any loss in conversion. I have done 4k60 on my iPhone for a while and love the quality and smoothness, as well as better slow motion if needed. Only issue I have, in Arizona smartphones overheat often when recording longer matches.

It's pretty difficult to see where the needle is pointing but it looked like the machine did a great job! Also, since the tension is kept in place for only a few seconds while stringing it seems like it's not a factor unless you lose several pounds in the first couple of seconds.

Do you have any complaints for this machine? I've been using a Klippermate for 2 years and would love an upgrade. This machine is noticeabley cheaper than some of its competitors like the Gamma progression st ii, and I wonder if there's a difference in features. But 6pt mount, fixed clamps, crank... hard to complain, right?

I saw your video and enjoyed your review and thoughts on Allen Edmonds's seconds. Yesterday, I went on their factory outlet website and ordered a pair of Randolph Penny Loafers in Black as my LL Bean Penny Loafers started to show wear, and a hole was in the sole. I decided to take a chance, and they were less than $90.00. If the imperfections are not too much, I will purchase a pair of their Park Avenue Cap Toe. Thank you for assembling this video.

@@diyjosh I will tell you just what I know and what I'm using, then you can just judge it for yourself. I have tried the Champion Duo string but the guy who strung the racket didn't do a job on it. So I didn't really get the full feel of it. I now do string my own now. I will have to try the Champion Duo string again and also a full bed of Gut. I have try Alu Power Vibe on my RF 97. It feels good when you put a very good dampner on. Those ADV longer dampner. For me, the reason I put 60 lbs main because it controls your ground stroke, the cross 55 lbs is for your serve. So when you strung that up, the racket sits around 57-58 lbs. Then it all depends how much power you can actually generate by yourself. That is almost like Federer string tension, how he does it, in a way. I wouldn't go higher than 60 lbs because you'll hurt your arm than you'll ever generate the power from it. The string type is the feel, the tension is the control. Always 5 lbs difference in the main and cross. Yeah I think you should try the Alu Power Vibe, 60 main, 55 cross. That string is very very powerful and won't be able to hurt your arm. Have you use string saver, I use it too, I don't like when string notch. And it really save the strings from breaking.

There is one inherent thing about defects in shoes that is a nice thing. And that nice thing is the fact that when you are wearing them they are always going to be 4-6 feet away from your eyes and from the eyes of everyone else. So small defects that don’t affect the durability or wearability generally don’t mean doodly squat. Because of this, factory seconds shoes can be a really great deal.

Put the string deeper/lower in the clamp when using the starting clamp for a bridge and it won't slip out. for example, put the string below/under where the red string is in the starting clamp so the clamp grips it better. How are you liking the stringer so far?
@bengray50132 жыл бұрын
When doing the mains never go more than 3 ahead from the opposite side, and when doing the crosses why not use the starting clamp and do a finishing knot instead of a starting knot (which damages the grommet long term)?
@diyjosh2 жыл бұрын
I see where you're coming from. I started off doing 3 at a time, but slowly increased it and haven't seen any issues. My racquets are over 12 years old. Regarding the starting clamp for crosses, there are pros and cons to both ways. With a starting clamp, you have tension loss from tying the knot after; additionally, my bumper guard needs to get replaced way before any damage happens to the grommet.

I watched reviews, read up on the Allen Edmonds manufacturing methods and history, it all sounded great. So I bought a pair of Chukka Boots, great product, great purchasing experience overall, I decided to buy more shoes. Bought a pair of Dalton Wingtip Dress Boots. I received 2 different color boots, also one of the boots seemed to be a different vintage or much older and had been on display for some time. Multiple price tickers attached and removed, physical dimensions were different, a different cut of the same style. I called customer service, they apologized and said they would send out another pair, free shipping. Got the next pair, shoes are with out a doubt reject, factory second shoes. I wear a size 9.5, the shoes I received are a size 8 or possible even smaller, but marked as a 9.5 D The shoes were also misshapen. The left looked like a right, the toe was curved outward. The worst quality I've seen from any shoe company, shameful quality.

Will the fixed clamps adjust for badminton string??
@diyjosh2 жыл бұрын
In terms of spacing, they don't adjust width wise. If that works for badminton, then you should be good to go. In terms of tightness, you can adjust the clamps on hard they grip.

Hehe, I've been where your at too. Yeah your not in control of the match. When you counter just by punching the ball back, they will just swing as hard as to win the point. (Only Federer can do good counter punch that still make people struggle even though they are in the advantage of overpowering him). You have to swing at the ball to match that guy or put in a more faster swing paste. I'm talking about your baseline plays. (When you counter punch the ball back into play there weren't any plans of winning the point). Just go ahead and take risk and swing at the ball when your already thinking of losing because punching the ball back into play is already a loss. There are other play style too, where you hit the ball to make the ball give more spins than your usual. Spin gives the ball very unpredictable hits when the player is trying to hit it back to you, they will have a harder time to concentrate to hit the sweet spot, unless the guy have better footsteps but even with good footsteps, it is still tougher to concentrate. Most of the ball that you hit are very floating, like no power. So he was able to step in and give a full swing. Swinging in a follow through can mean your in control and have a plan to win. As for second serves... Hit it like your first serves, lol no, I don't know yet to tell how you can improve.
@GI-nh3zw2 жыл бұрын
this is actually reassuring if it looses only 1lbs, I have folks tell me that crank machine looses 2-3 lbs! Btw this is primarily because of the elasticity in the strings, not an issue with your machine.

Hey! Love the experiment. I've been giving this some thought because I purchased an Alpha Revo4000 this past year. I was coming from a dropweight and have read up a lot on the difference between constant pull v lockout. For this particular experiment, I think the results prove more than anything that the clamps are tight and the string does not slip. However, I feel like where tension loss is happening is in the string itself. In your experimental design, the only place where you have actual tennis string is in the few inches that are present to hold the tension monitor. In this way, the results don't actually serve to show how much tension was lost in the string. Is there a way to keep a full length string on the tensioner and then measure for tension loss? Perhaps with sound?
@diyjosh2 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter! That is a great point, it would only be measuring the short amount of string that is unclamped. I am not sure how I would extend the string because I wouldn't have anything to securely hold the string at a long distance. I would love to do same experiment again with your suggestions, but unfortunately, I upgraded to an electronic stringer.
