Wheel chocks are the best advice. I parked on a slight incline once and as soon as it came off the ball it started to go. Fortunately, the chocks did their job. I’d also not skimp on them. Forget those little yellow ones! Go big or go home when it comes to chocks!
@RVFieldTrip2 күн бұрын
WOW thanks for sharing your story that must have freaked you out, to be honest with you like Rose just reminded me that I did that one time had no chocks and unhooked the RV thank God we were on flat ground, I agree with you I like the big chucks a lot better LOL, I mean it's not like you're gonna stop the RV from rolling anywhere, thankfully you and I learn from our experience and nothing bad happened, thank you so very much for commenting and we hope to talk to you next time

At first I thought ok a retired guy giving very useful but common sense information that was informative. But when your wife came on and the way you workied together to finish setting up it was obvious your knowledge and experience shown through. You have it going on! They say you only live once, that's wrong, you die once and live everyday if you do it right.

So far you got everything right except for the retired part LOL, I do have to admit that rose and I do you work together extremely well, but when setting up the RV she has her part and I have mine and we try not to step on each other's toes while doing it, I love that saying of yours [ you only live once, that's wrong, you die once and live everyday if you do it right ] we can't tell you how much we appreciate you commenting and we look forward to hearing from you next time again thank you

One thing that wasn't mentioned (and your RV may not have them) but on the inside of the slide face, the gaskets that seal the inside when the slide is out, are saggy and hang loosely along the inside face of the slide. Those need to be checked as well. Good video!

@RVFieldTripАй бұрын
The reason why we turn them on is when we are not using our RV the only thing we leave on is the inverter and the refrigerator, the inverter so it keeps the batteries charged when plugged in and the fridge is that it stays cool for our next trip, we don't wanna wear down the batteries by accident, we hope you enjoy your travel trailer as much as we have, you have to let us know how it all works out and thank you very much for commenting
