Greek was a religious name for the members of the Orthodox Church. They were never a nation! After osmanic cadastral registers from the XV-XVI century, more than 95% of the population was Albanian and less than 5% Helens in Greece. After Illyad the language of Gods was Gheg, Nord Albanian Dialect. (Herodotus) The works of the great poet, Homer, are filled with words that not only survive in Albanian, but continue to be used. From Homer you can get not only words, but also phrases that possess all the signs of a typical Albanian expression. If someone were to interpret Homer from the Albanian language perspective, much light would be shed on the works of that famous poet. Between Homeric and Albanian sentences there is a striking resemblance in expression, phraseology and sentence structure. A study of this nature would help interpret Homer, since the Albanian language is older than that of Greece (Science Magazine 2023), much can be learned about the influence of this [Albanian] on Homeric and later Greek. Title: Unconquerable Albania Author : Christ Anton Lepon Publisher: Chicago, Albanian Liberation Committee, 1944

You should always avoid wearing orangy coloured lipstock or very light red as it makes your teeth look yellowly.

I never really saw, thought, or called myself a philosopher back then, but now, looking back at all the things I've said and done, I guess I am a philosopher in a way. Had someone call me a philosopher the other day. Never thought about it until now, yeah, I guess I am. I guess I was one without realizing I was I one.

Its kinda funny how the "jar" in the myth is a slang that represents to a woman's womb and the miss translation transformed jar into box which is the modern American slang for the entry into said womb. Crazy how things work out sometimes.

I visited Athens many times. It's dirty, chaotic, sometimes dangerous, but I love this City with all my heart. I Love to walk, shop, eat there. In the bottom of my heart, Athens, and Greece are my homeland.

Such a shame the Greek alphabet doesn’t correspond with modern phonetics of modern Latin alphabet. She explained it all beautifully though. Growing up on the west coast of Turkey I used to watch a lot of Greek television as a child in 70s. Politics and history aside we have great fondness to and similarities with our Greek neighbours. Wouldn’t it be great if two countries were allies politically and just got in really well? So upsetting 😢 hopefully one day we will achieve that. Greetings to all our Greek neighbours 🇬🇷 ❤🇹🇷

I personally don't like splitting the bill, but i notice others in South Africa are starting to do that. I have my own rule, if im inviting you to the restaurant, then I will pay the entire bill, but if its a group decision to go to the restaurant, then we split the bill equally, irrespective of what was ordered by each person. I think its petty to do a calculation and pay according to what you ordered.

Thanks for this wonderful video. We will be in Greece for 8 days in June and looking forward to it. In South Africa, the norm is 10% for tipping, unless the service was fantastic, then you could tip more. For small amounts, we just round up. So if the bill is 1.65, we too, would just pay 2.

I have been to Elafonisos twice, Kefalonia three times (melissani cave twice, once by myself, the other time with friends), Meteora twice, Litochoro/Mt. Olympus twice.🥰 I just went to Metsovo two weeks ago, it felt warm and peaceful to have good coffee, pastry and chill in this cute mountain town and there are a number of similar places like Metsovo in Greece. How nice.😊
