the only downfaill of ff12 TZA was they butchered the boss theme,,, the trumpets imbetween the beats made this theme and they decided to remove them

Sabers Edge might be my favorite track in the series (other than Man with the Machine Gun but thats not a boss theme) and I think the 12 theme is way better than you placed it but otherwise solid list.

If there was Final Boss Themes it would be a toss up between Kuja and Kefka’s theme for me

I recently got it on sale on my PS5 and then thought "Aw, maybe it would've been better to have it on Switch... So I can play it on the go" nevermind... I feel much happier with my choice now.

This game is basically an RPG with a level select, that's crazy! Crazier than Zelda with a time limit even! (Majora's)

Graphics aint everything for what i know switch had a lot og qol improv to it. So it is a choice for graphics or qol

If you really want to hear the best boss music themes you need to listen to Mystic Quest, which is an easy mode spinoff of the series, but still made by square and most importantly it prooves that other composers than Nobuo Uematsu can also make really great music, in particular all the battle themes blow most FFs mainline battle and boss themes out of the water, while the game is of course made for 3 years old, the music artist really did the best job in that game.

I usually tune the music down, so that won't effect me. I got a Switch Oled the beginning of 2023. I wanted to play the Fire Emblem games, Hogwarts Legacy and Breath of the Wild. I just ordered this game, I can't wait to play.

I’ve always heard the hate for the soundtrack for this game but like most RPGs i usually just turn the music off or really low anyways as i usually have my own media of some kinda playing off to the side. I’m so glad they came out with the definitive edition. I tried replaying the original today and everything is so slow, battle, running, crafting, etc.

I disagree with your ranking, but I respect it. However, I do need to point out that FFXII was not the first in the series to have a "big orchestra feel." Uematsu used a live orchestra for FFVI and FFVIII was one of the first games to use a studio orchestra. And while not considered a "main line" game, Final Fantasy Tactics has an outstanding OST and uses alot of orchestral music.

Final Fantasy 10 has a 2nd boss theme that comes along on different bosses throughout the game that you can call it regular - Challenge.

This kind of looks and sounds like a SaGa game with a greater focus on character interaction and story. Neat! I'll have to keep an eye out for it during sales.

Playing the standard ps4 version now. Great game, but wanted to play the 2d mode. Apperently only playable on the definitive version. Which brings the next problem, play the graphically far superior standard ps4 version or buy the game again for the extra content and play the blurry dull coloured Switch version. Hated it on Zelda as well. The colours and image were all softened up by the lack of contrast/sharpness. Like the screen was hidden behind a layer of mist. Guess i'll keep playing the standard version for now. Hard to unsee the much sharper image with much more vibrant colours. Perhaps if i really love the game i can buy the definitive version for the 2d mode.

🤔 I don’t agree on the voice acting the lore of the game is the old world (Europe) several hundred years ago, North American voice actor’s don’t work in a game like this they sound really out of place & are only being used to sell the game in that market place European voice actors should have been used ….

FF9 boss theme is by far the best you are a massive kawck. You know nothing about music... FF7 in top3 ? WTF it's like Majora's mask vs other Zelda it's no match

I don't think there's any such thing as a bad final fantasy track. The games might vary in quality but the music is pretty consistently great.

FF6's boss music gets upstaged by The Fierce Battle.

FF3's boss music really makes you realize how much of a genius Nobuo Uematsu is even within the absolutely crippling limitations of the Famicon.

I disagree, FF8 music is went it all went to shit. In my opinion the only good track is maybe "Man with the Machine Gun" everything else is horrible tier.
