My M21 has an amazing trigger neutral sear engagement verry little takeup and a nice break. Yours looks like a "normal spec" sks trigger found in Russian and 1960's T56. I've seen other account of great triggers on the ticklers it sucks that yours doesn’t have it. Cheers from QC. Nice rifle

Gotenda had these on sale a while back for as low as $479 each for both the French Tickler SKS and the Jungle Stock SKS.. but I think they are back up to just over $500 now. I was gonna buy a French Tickler.. but I already own too many SKS's.. and I was only going to buy one if I could go there and inspect them in store just so I could pick one out for myself..which wouldnt be a problem as I go to the store quite often.. and they have had to deal with me quite a bit in the past.. which has not always been a positive experience for me.. or for the staff there.. but I am the paying customer.. and the staff there at Gotenda seem to sometimes forget that.. and so I remind them.

I had a Russian SKS and my friend got a Type 56 'french tickler' last week so i helped to disassemble it and remove the cosmoline. When i was putting it back together i found the trigger group extremely hard to push back in because the little metal hook on the bottom end of the receiver has a flat top surface unlike the round/sloped on my Russian SKS. So i had to use a screwdriver to push the hook in first then the trigger group could finally get back in place. Not sure if this is but a single case or a common small flaw on the Type 56 ft.

Fitted one of these windshields to my Rebel 500. Gave it a good try but have had to remove it. Wind noise at highway speeds was intolerable (+90kph/55mph). Wind turbulence around my helmet sounded like constant sonic booms or constant loud backfiring in my ears. Ear plugs made little difference. Didn't matter whether the helmet vents were open or closed. Went for a long ride today with the windshield removed and without ear plugs. It was back to normal type of wind noise which is not very loud at all. A very pleasant ride again. Putting one hand in front of my chest I could feel wind pressure that wasn't there with the windshield. However I would not have noticed the difference in wind pressure on my chest if not for that "hand test". Maybe it's peculiar to my helmet or height (5' 6'') but this windshield certainly didn't work out for me. Pity. I liked the look and liked the way it protected my phone or GPS from the wind stream when mounted to the nav bar above the gauges housing.

They are definately f*cking with the S/N now, damn! But what I see you got there was your shellac is absolutely smoother than my 23 million! @@MikeThompsonn Personally I think Gotenda customer service sucks! I have ordered a lot of stuff from them online with no issues.. but going to their store in person has been a total NIGHTMARE every single time I have ever gone there! The counter staff there are HORRIBLE and they are NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE about the products they sell! Whenever I go there now.. I act like I am the firearm expert and I go out of my way to "school" the staff there and make them feel stupid.. because most of them truly are stupid! Something is very wrong when you have been to a gun store over 1 dozen times.. and you have a NEGATIVE experience as a customer every single time you go there! G4C is just around the corner from Gotenda.. and I have been to that store a few times as well.. and yes.. they got a couple Idiots working behind the counters there too.. like the one guy there who tried to stop me from putting the bolt in a Howa M1500 that I went there to purchase! - I had to explain to the simple minded Idiot that I wanted to run the action a few times to see the smoothness and lock up (which is totally normal) and I had to point out to this "rocket scientist" that all of the bolt action rifles on the display wall behind him all had the bolts in them and that there is no need to remove the bolt from a rifle that a customer asks to see once you have checked and verified that it is clear and unloaded! I do lots of business with both stores.. but dealing with them online and dealing them in person in the store are 2 totally different experiences.. trust me!

@@MikeThompsonn It makes sense, given that everything gets harder and more brittle in freezing temperatures. The all plastic models (Jungle stock SKS) were holding up great in warm climate, but never tested in the cold, brutal winters.
