It would mean those two would have to be resurrected before the first resurrection which would be scripturally wrong and prophetically invalid. Those with ears to hear, hear and begin to search and understand this truth for yourselves: the two lamp stands who will witness for God are bodies of elected ones that make up the churches of God when Christ returns--of the Jews first, and of the gentiles. They will be empowered by the complete understanding of the prophecies in Revelation unlike most of the world when that time comes. Rev 11:12 speaks of their fate and upcoming resurrection. They will proceed to reign with Christ for a millennium and until the final battle with Satan that would end this earth and bring the last resurrection and final judgment. This isn't one person against two. Remember the anti-christ will prosecute the whole church of God. Many will be killed and blamed for the hardships in those days not just two individuals. There will be more than two Christians left before Christ appears in the clouds.

They will die, then they will be resurrected, to meet Him in the sky. This resurrection of the Believers/witnesses will be seen worldwide in each location of Believers worldwide. These 2 olive trees represent the kingdom of Heaven, here on earth. YES, WE BELIEVERS, THE 2 WITNESS are already here. We're waiting for the time of fulfillment in order to receive power. The time of fulfillment in so close- it is when the fulfillment of the Gentiles takes place as it speaks of in Romans. We're not there yet, but getting so close. These 2 olive trees will be energized when they both come together in complete agreement of the Gospel. It's beginning to take place- many Jews are learning about Yeshua's grace, and many Gentiles are learning about Torah. They should have never been separated, ever. There's coming a healthy balance of wholeness. It takes place within the 2 people groups, or the 2 witness.
