Janie, Thank you for addressing the worship music in church! I hate that we used to sing hymns, but now it’s all repetitive, no music to read, and so loud my 11 yr old begs to wear ear plugs to avoid headaches. Flashing drama lights straight into the eyes of the audience, can trigger brain issues. It’s heartbreaking to me that regardless of the number of complaints, it continues to be worse. We are now realizing that perhaps the Protestant perspective that we have grown up with is feeling the results of abandoning the teachings of the church fathers. And singing the Psalms and Gregorian Chant is very appealing. We want to know more of our bibles, through music!
