Gotta lift that can up. Nice job building a water pull. Just an FYI for those wondering about the cutting edge, it's for knocking down wind rows

I build up water tenders 4000 gallon. I do not build the tanks. I am a bit of an amateur but I take my time this is the best video and one of the finest trucks on KZbin. Been doing it for15 years retired firefighter also.

What is the price for a truck like that one ?

I don't know why it doesn't run off the truck engine

The price difference from a PTO shaft driven system to a FEPTO or REPTO can sway the customers decision.

Keeping the tank style like you have on this truck, what is the largest tank size you can make put on the truck?
@TruckWorksInc20114 жыл бұрын
Hi Jesse, A couple answers here. Our galvanized tank is currently limited at this 4250 gallon size. The truck itself is rated for 66,000lbs, therefore you can place up to a 5000 gallon tank on here, however for on-road travelling, you are only allowed to carry 34,000lbs which would be less than half a tank. Offroad you could fill it almost completely.

Awesome good to know. Curious how much taller the ride height of the 6x6 model is compared to this setup. And how large of a motor is available? Thanks
@TruckWorksInc20114 жыл бұрын
@@firefighter1107 Ride height can be up to 6" taller on a 6x6 for an empty chassis. For the motor are you asking on the truck side or pumping side?
@firefighter11074 жыл бұрын
@@TruckWorksInc2011 Both actually, i would like an isx 15 for the chassis. What are the options for the tank motor?, can it go to fire suppression capabilities? Primarily the truck will be used for dust control on construction sites, but can be called in for water ops in forest fires to supply the fire dept.
@TruckWorksInc20114 жыл бұрын
@@firefighter1107 This tanks motor is the older Tier 4 Flex unit that is no longer available due to the exemption running out December 2018. The new motors are much larger and difficult to place on the midship of the truck, their is a Turbo Charged Diesel 2.9L - 74HP and a TCD 3.6L - 100HP with a DEF tank that I am using now for rear mount setups. Feel free to call to discuss further if you would like to look into spec'ing out a water truck that can be contracted on fires - hydraulic may be a good option too. -Heather

In Ag these spray heads spray to wide .. we focus in roadways .. so I made water truck with left and right spray heads in the rear with slotted 3 inch galv Caps ... the slotted caps are in a male camlock and go into female camlock allowing you to move them how I like ... both sorayheads I have them spraying into each other giving narrow roadways a super compressed water action !! We have comp with other farm growers with water trucks ..
@TruckWorksInc20113 жыл бұрын
These spray heads actually have an adjustable collar that allows you to choke down the spray pattern to your preference, maybe not as much as a slotted cap would, but their is adjustability.

High volumes of water at high pressures with maximum portability are incredibly important for efficiency, profitability, and safety. These trucks aren't glorified diesel powered squirt guns. Like a cement mixing truck, or an asphalt laden end dump, these trucks perform work that is needed. They perform it in a way that can't be matched. In light of the worst fire in California history, the camp fire, I think many would love to see a water truck in their neighborhood and appreciate its unique capbilities.

It's called a water pull. Its use is to carry 8000 gallons of water and spray it wherever is needed. Performs better on large open jobsites that have unique terrain that make smaller water trucks useless.

not wanting to sound like the idiots making dumb ass comments but what Ive done before is back onto another lowboy as far as you can then back that trailer to your front end as close as possible then pull onto it as you back the first lowboy along with you.. or back onto your rig from the side and then climb on forward the front..takes some wigglin and a few scuff marks on your trailer rails
