The way druids is laid out its a corner that you can on both sides...as we have all seen...he just pushed paul off, simple ..ravaglia still assumed he was "racing " in the European championship where that kind of stuff is common..not a nice racer

Paul was the nice guy in the btcc..many others were too..unfortunately those that came from a European championship background were very unsportsmanlike..hit till you pass then claim they were at fault..terrible..not all were like that..piro wasn't like that..neither was biela..

I'm reminded of David Coulthard's quip about the pointlessness of going to speak to Juan Pablo Montoya about driving standards - "I wouldn't waste my time by going to see Juan Pablo, it would be like going to a zoo and trying to communicate with a chimpanzee." - that was defintely true of Ravaglia. A typical BMW driver, complete w 4 nker.

Great memories of my early aviation days. I just kept on saying "Flew on that ... and then ... that ... etc" . Thanks for taking me down memory lane. Now I am 81 ... I went from props to Concorde ... how lucky I was.

Francisco, aren't you the investigator who appears in a Canadian series called Air Crash Investigation? I'm telling you here because I can't comment in your video about flight 1851. I would like to ask you about the CVR of that fateful flight in 1989. I read the official CVR/ATC transcript, but I would like to know if they are ever going to release the actual cockpit recording tape of Independent Air Flight 1851.

Look how clean and beautiful the Worldport looks with all of those gorgeous 747-121's! After college I got addicted to traveling and went everywhere i could. I figured out a way to travel on Pan Am in business class for free by taking advantage of some holes in their frequent Flyer program. I wintered in Rio and summered in Europe. It was a blast! And oh yeah, I flew Concorde. This made me cry with happiness.

I've always thought the Boeing 707 was a sharp looking aircraft. They have a reserve Air National Guard Refueling squadron at our airport KC-135's. I love watching them take off and land. Very cool aircraft!

Isnt this the same weekend Ravaglia also got in Menus way at the race end possibly costing him a result ?
@TheCaptainJJ
@TheCaptainJJ Жыл бұрын
It wasn't, the Ravaglia Menu incident happened on the 3rd visit to Brands. This round is the one on the Grand Prix loop and was the 2nd visit in 1996.

@@TheCaptainJJ That was the 3rd meeting & the last of the year I think. He got p****d off that Menu hit him into Paddock whilst he was in the lead & spun him out but it was clearly an accident so he went out testing the car after which shouldn't have been allowed anyway & blocked him. Hated the snake. He always knew what he was doing same as when he knocked Radisich off in this

@@tomsmalley8899 I think, 90% of the drivers probably hated him, he was a sneaky man and back then, drivers would pull you for it and give you, a real old whopping. Paul is a nice guy, but at least isn't afraid to tell you off.

Although jet engines were a huge leap forward in technology, this video shows how primitive jet engine technology was in the 60s. Nearly all jetliners had no or low-bypass engines where now, nearly all jet airliners have high-bypass engines. Many with bypass ratios of 10:1 or more!
