Holy shit I've never seen anyone play this game, even though I had it since release - and what you show just looks like a completely different experience to what I do. I have I think around 30 hours in the game, level 41 and gnosis II, but my builds/damage/anything is just nowhere near to what you do. I can't even reliably kill the familiar in the first map! How do I get better, other than play a lot more I guess??

Actually the elemental combos are what make you really strong. Try getting Gnosis 3 and then get Burning Stake under the bridge on Irongate Castle Map. It's a game changer. Also you need to find the weapons you feel comfortable with. For me the sweet spot is Hunger and Hangfire, but Hypnosis is very strong too.

There are sigils on the walls in the tower. They look like the shield portal thing on the wall from level 3. I found one on level two and it spewed out like 20 little essence chunks. Went from 12 or 13 to 32 on one floor

thank you! since there is no Russian language in the game, I downloaded the "Russifier" and instead of translating it, I got scribbles for some descriptions. including the bonfires that need to be set on fire. With your help, I was still able to open the passage inside. Thanks again!

There are no silly questions mate :) You can use the Prophecies to influence the arcana you receive, which helps with the ingame build variation. Plus they have bonuses if you use them properly, resulting in even stronger arcana.

I'm planning to make a short in the evening on the topic - but the answer is: Tower Level 1 -> 13 Collectable Yellow Shield on Tower Level 2 -> 20 (=33) Yellow Shield on Tower Level 3 -> 20 (=53) One Pillar for corrupted Arcana -> 10 (=63) Killing the Boss -> 50 (=113)

You need gnosis 3 and then you can find Braid of the Seductress and Burning Stake on Irongate Castle Map.

I didn't know there was such a nice channel about this game. I took a long break. Since I started the game, All-seeing Eye and Echo. Lighting bold spell and Rotten fiend with paintet tooth and henbane of course ^^And now improving weapons to the maximum is really tiring

still i passed unbearably fast, it wasn't hard at all and all the new content doesn't seem like much. in the same castle everything is much harder. I think I'll start it just from scratch, it gives at least some challenge, and monsters would like to be more difficult in this game.

I mean the tower is meant to be opened on gnosis 2, so maybe on level 20-30 with a few m2 weapons. If you play it with m3 of course its not so hard. We gotta wait for Full Release

yes! but i also bring the ammo from the vendor (you can bring 3 ammo packs from homebase / hermitorium). So running out of ammo doesnt really matter :)

Witchfire is the most beautiful game I've ever seen, how realistic the game world looks. The trees, the grasses in the wind, the mountains simply wonderful.

@@chr_isso I'm not so sure about the AA. I mean it would look better in UE5, maybe if they did it right, but I'd really rather have a better optimized game that runs well and looks good. Right now I'm getting up to 200 FPS on 4k with everything set to max, but the average is 120. The graphical style is stunning. It's better than ultra-sharp 8k textures that my rig can't handle even when turned down, and other stuff that makes it look worse when turned down than it does now because the lighting and fog/sky look soooo good. I think they took inspiration from Zdzisław Beksiński, a Polish artist who made art that could have even been concept art. Or we go much further back and look at Caspar David Friedrich, one of the most influential artists of the Romantic period and we Germans should know this guy. His paintings really fit this game very well. Anyway, I was ranting about UE and AA because it is. Turn it off and you see what I mean, that the game is built around the cheap AA methods that look much worse than the good ones. I'm really disappointed that UE is going this route and EPIC even recommends developing it this way. Shadows and foliage should never look like this when AA is off. I don't like these cheap AA methods because they introduce blur and kind of do the opposite of what I expect from AA, which is sharp edges without seeing polygons, and thus a clear view so I can see things clearly from a distance.

you can only do it if you edit your savegame :) Savegames are located in: C:\Users\ USERNAME \AppData\Local\Witchfire\Saved\SaveGames the two options are: "GnosisLevel" and "Progression.Quest.Gnosis.HighestUnlocked" you want to set both to 5 or 6. Game doesn't get harder but you get both slots for the prophecies :)

You can get some passive bonuses and can call in 3 helping Preyers once per Expedition. Theyre quite worth it!

Wtf, cleared up to the first corrupted arcana like 20 times, took one of the corrupted options, and then exited the level through the portal that opened right in front of my face thinking that was everything the new update offered… I had absolutely no clue there was even a door there, lol. I honestly would have never even known there was more were it not for this vid. It literally looks like every other wall. This is a great game, but they really need to improve communicating complex and basic mechanics to players.

The only indicator is that there is still the "Boss" Symbol in the middle of the tower. So there had to be any way to get down there - but you are 100% right, on release day I had the same issue lol. I didn't see the door on level 1 first .. and then i didnt find it on level 3 lol.
